  • Wait... how do you pick the synth you want to assign it to?

  • is there any way to keep it in sync with the tempo?

  • thanx man very helpful!

  • i cant right click on a mac. is there another way??

  • nevermind :) i see i just had to switch off the quantization!

  • hey! i dont understand why but when i record the three notes, only two notes get recorded?? any idea why??

  • Thank you for the video kind sire.

  • Thanks for posting this. Very very helpful. I'm on Logic Pro 7 and didn't realise it had an arpeggiator. One question - how do I sync the arpeggiator to the beats/tempo of the song? It seems to be random and out of sync. I used an arpeggiator in Ableton and it just synced automatically. Thanx in advance, D

  • To fix the issue mentioned @ 3:35 just click on the Cable Switcher and in the Parameter Object box adjust accordingly (i.e. if you have only two cables coming you'd set it to 1, therefore the range would be from 0 to 1, with the 0 corresponding to the top cable and the 1 corresponding to the bottom one.

  • @sac1577 You guys are so smart.

  • cheers man, now I can show up my class and pretend I'm pro as... hahaha

  • Okay, seems that when I reassign the track to edit arpeggiator settings, the repeat stops working :S, otherwise it works.. weird

  • This is really frustrating me, when I hold the notes down it doesn't repeat. I got it to work once, now it won't repeat anymore, my setup is exactly as he showed... WTF

  • I have done everything you have gone through, but when i remove Keyboard it don't play, but you have removed the Keyboard, WHAT DO I DO MAN ):

  • Why won't my mouse drag and drop things in the environment window?Do i need to press something else as I click the mouse to drag and drop?

  • thank you so much

  • If i want to use an another instrument that is not using arppeiggo, how do i make it to sound normal*? :p

  • hey dude nice one, this will really help me on my course cheers dude nice one!

  • Please, I need help with my arpeggiator,

This is my issue, I have my arpeggiator working fine but when I bounce the song down, the arpeggiated notes don't show up in the bounce? I am totally stumped I don't know what I'm doing wrong? any help or suggestions would be much appreciated

    Thanks

    Dorian

  • Okay this is a great tutorial except now all of my samples arpeggiate. Any ideas on how I can just arpeggiate 1 instrument?

  • @TheRiverMusic there is another video on YT that shows how to apply to one instrument... you gotta go into environ ment and apply

  • dude thanks alot its good to kno the ins and outs of this program its hard to learn everything cause its so vast but much thanks for the vid tutorial

  • Nice & handy!

But how can I assign the arp to one track only?

  • @noamlander you have to set up the environtment in another way, there is a better youtube you can find... i had the same problem

  • Hey !!!

    Thanks for the tutorial !!

    Rally helped me !!

But i have a question, when in bounce a project, the midi files with the arpegiator sound diferent in audio that in the project ... :s

Can you help me with that ???

    Thanks so much

  • @AndersonRuben bounce in real time homie

  • aye just one question.

it sounds like all good n dat when i play it back in logic, but once i bounced it the arpeggiator wasnt there any more and it was just the synth i had playing.

    any tips?

  • This was so helpful especially the last part!!! thank you

  • its not working i did everything you just did..

  • thanks. i have logic pro 9 but is located in the same menu

  • AWESOME! I'm trying this tomorrow at class.

  • Great! Thanks

  • Nice tutorial....

  • Help I think this messed up my keyboard! It wont play anymore! I think this messed up,is there a way to make it work again?(my keyboard)

  • does this work with diferent instruments?

  • Hey Great Vid Thanks!

  • Well explained, helpful and informed... unlike many other Logic stuff on YouTube!!

  • Thank you!

  • Easy and quick, thank you for a great tutorial.

  • The process of setting up the arpeggiator function in Logic always seemed too involved to even bother with, and a little crude in its execution. Thanks to your straightforward tutorial I think I'll start using it now though. :-)

  • If you don't want your switcher to "overshoot", just limit its values to the number of outputs you have. Here, instead of leaving it at 0 to 127 (the default) set it to 0 to 1. It will then only switch between the two "valid" outputs ;-)

  • Good demo quebicrecords. Com

  • i dont work for me same karven is goin through

  • thank you so much! excellent. in a few minutes you make simple something that is as far from intuitive as can be and not at all explained in the Logic Pro user manuals.

  • i do exactly like you say. And when i remove the keyboard like you did my keyboard stops working. And if i try to setup exaclt like you without removing the keyboard it still doesnt work. what is the problem? plz? thanks

  • @ericpierrkarvan lol me toooo!! Have you figured it out yet? Let me know!!

  • I am tryin to apply the arpegiator to a lead midi sequence i have in a track! however evrytime i set up the arpegiator it will only play the arpegiated notes and i will have none of the other channels playing... this occours even when i delte he arpegator and reasign the the channel o the orginal software instrument! the only way i can then get around it is closing logic and reopening it! Do you no y?

  • very clear man!!

  • great, keep making these!

  • How do i use the arpeggiator on voice? just a regular audio track

  • you could use logic's vocoder and then arpeggiate that... it sounds pretty computery though - check my tutorial vid on it if you like. the only other ways i can think of would be to either use melodyne to throw your voice all over the scales, or if it's just simpler stuff you could feed a few samples into the EXS24 Sampler and turn "pitch" on. ill do a tut on that eventually

  • this vid is great but I can't find the resolution?? I can't change the note lengths how do you make the resolution show up if it doesn't just show up on the side? thanks!

  • for some reason the arpeggiator settings don't show up until you click another instrument, then click the arpeggiator again. it's right around 1:50 in the video

  • Yea, this video is perfect and to the point. If its too fast that is why the pause button is there.

  • true that!

  • yea very clear thanks

  • Thanks man :)

  • This was super helpful! Thank you!~

  • Thanks alot dude helped loads!

  • Some great shortcuts but you rush through so fast it's darn near impossible to get there!

You have a maximum of 10-mins on a vid so why not just slow down a little...?

  • is better this way. im tired of those lamo tutorials like they are talking to babies

  • I agree with SVF85
