i can't believe it ! windows xp login speed is faster than windows 7 ! but windows7 is only slow in login screen . windows xp is very slow and windows7 is very fast

Well, think about it... Windows xp's entire OS is about 600 MB in size, compared to 7 which can reach 3 GB. Now, to have such a large Windows 7 OS start nearly at the same time as the little Windows xp OS is a major improvement.
The whole Windows 7 vs Windows xp isn't much of a point. A lot of us will go for the newer, more advanced OS, even if it starts just a few mere seconds slower than the older OS.
@IIMayhewII i have had all 3 operating systems, windows vista, 7 and xp out of all 3 7 for me is faster, then xp and then vista. 7 has a lot more difference to xp with the security, stylish look, updating quicker, and many more.
wereas if you installed a hardware into your computer and never had a drivers cd for it, seven would search PROPERLY ON THE INTERNET and install it while xp would just say NO drivers found.
thats what makes 7 much better than xp. BUT THIS IS MY OPINION.

u may have slow computer i have only 512MB of ram and the boot screen on windows 7 take only 12 second and on your computer 22 seconds :S
