  • Where was this?

  • i would be one of thsoe people who would turn around and do it again

  • TO MAKE THE ROAD you have to take x and put it in a fraction, and DIVIDE it by 5, while multiplying it by 2x + 12, which simplify's to 2(x+6), and then you graph the result, which is a linear equation, and then you look fo the variables of 12 and 33, combine like terms, and then multiply it all by 124x, divide by 12 squared, and FINALLY times it by 0 :D

  • WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BET THAT THE PEOPLE BITCHIN' ABOUT THE ROAD DRIVE IMPORTS... MOST OF WHICH ARE HONDAS. P.S. I LIVE IN THE AREA AND THE ONLY HOUSING TRACT IN THE AREA IS WHERE THE BITCHING IS COMMING FROM. HERES ONE FOR YOU, WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ITS 106 OUTSIDE???

  • @JVPRCNG Jesus fucking christ spaz. You know your caps lock is on? Anyways what does driving imported vehicles have to do with anything in this video?

  • @0Cocoron0 First, If the caps was too loud.. Turn down your volume, Second, Jesus Didnt have anything to do with this, and lastly, IT WAS FOR A HONDA COMMERCIAL.( Honda is an import last time I checked ). spaz.

  • @JVPRCNG By the looks of how pathetic you struggle for a comeback (not to mention recycling an insult I used at you) I can tell you are offended. But I still don't see how people bitching connects to them driving import vehicles.

  • @0Cocoron0 You are the Perfect Reason why Inbreeding, is Against the Law. Honda Commercial, Honda is an Import. How do you function with that One Brain Cell? And to shut your Dumd Ass up, In regards to your original post, ( what does driving imported vehicles have to do with anything in this video?). It Was Made For A Honda Civic Commercial. Lastly, the people bitching caused the city to remove the road. It was ment to be a scarcastic comment. ie: the people bitching probably drive hondas.FT

  • @JVPRCNG P.S. FT means FuckTard.

  • @JVPRCNG u mad?

  • @JVPRCNG So let me get this straight. You're getting pissed off at me? When I was obviously mislead because you were making a sarcastic comment? I do hope you realize that the only person to be able to detect sarcasm through text is the person who wrote the comment. Hahaha! And you're calling me retarded? Oh yeah, u totes mad.

  • @0Cocoron0 No, I just refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person. ( that was also sarcasm, im pretty sure you have arms.) Have a great life.

  • @JVPRCNG totes mad

  • It would suck to live by, but it would be cool if you were just passing through...

  • I think it's pretty kool y is everyone talkin shit about it jus because it disturbed a few neighbors

  • AWESOME!!

  • stupid Honda they should go do that shit in Tokyo and leave Americas roads alone

  • i agree, GET THE FUCK OUT! or FUCKEN STFU!!

  • i liked the girl .. she is sooooooo cute .. when she says its horrible :-) tera broadwater ....

Well for the road . take it easy guys .. .. over time its going to go away ..

  • what rich prissy bitches, why not just deal with it, just like living by an airport. you dont tear down the airport just because its loud, move or stfu !! lol

  • Good idea, but not original. I think that the Dunlop Melody Road in Japan plays a better song.

  • Christy, thanks!

  • I thought this was clever when I first heard about it. But why would they do it in a residential area?

  • Wow I thought this was just for the commercial on a closed road, I rejoice for the hilarity of this news segment!

  • stupid ppl its only 1 in 4 why cant you get ear plugs!

  • What a genius idea.that's so cool. Now someone should do "do your ears hang low so it sounds like an ice cream truck..BTW..wonder if there would be complaints if it played "I'm proud to be an American"..I guess the Japanese thought it would be a nice gift because they enjoyed it first (and appreciated it).some people are never happy.

  • haha i can see how its annoying but its only one road.

  • screw the people that live in lancaster!!! get over it.. its a road. plus its one of four in the WORLD!! the ONLY one in the US.. these people have a stick up their ass!!

  • Don't worry. It was replaced last October in another location away from houses. It's also on a multi lane road so you don't have to go over it if it annoys you.

I would love to try it, but it's not reason enough to go all the way to California from the East Coast.

  • fuck the dodgers~! lol that road looks fun i would like to try it.

  • who the fuck cares lancaster is a shitty place anyways

  • Yeah, I think it's a nice idea, but maybe pave it or make it somewhere where less cars come and go.

  • but then less people will be able to hear it

the housing tract was stupid to put it near that road when it was under construction, and its the buyers fault for buying the houses there.

  • The houses were there well before Honda came in and cut up the road for the sound. But, Lancaster did pave this road almost a year ago and had the sound effect re-cut into Ave G going out to FOX Air field West........enjoy

  • hopefully the 2nd one gets the melody right...

  • Didn't they pave over it?

  • How was this developed?

Couldn't this cause more wear in the tires?

  • I think that its a good idea, but they should do it on a highway that is out in the middle of know where.

  • i know right like a 36 mile Beethoven's symphony!

    lolz

  • That would make me smile so much!

  • i mean why do we even need to listen to music on the radio it all sucks nowadays any way! i would love to drive on a road like this one

  • My biggest problem with this is that the melody is totally incorrect. It's close... but NOPE!!! How hard is it to get it right??

  • They shoulda used their heads(Honda) and made the musical road AWAY from neighborhoods.

  • how they set the groves in the street for timming and probably different hights for each one to make a different note.

  • Comment removed

  • Some cities do this to warn drivers of an upcoming stop sign or freeway ending but instead of song its just a single note and the first time you drive over it you go "what the hell was that?"

  • i think they should've done it at some place that didn't have anyone living nearby.

it's a great idea. just the wrong place.

  • wow,it probobly took like 100,000$ to make it,52 Hours, and 300 gallons of pavment ill they get it back to normal

  • i like the idea, but i can see where the residents are comin from... Honda shoulda made it way out in the boonies where no one besides the driver would hear it...

  • hey mouse 9c1 u can FUCK OFF!! CUZ IMPORT CARS RULE DATS Y HONDA , ACURA,TOYOTA ,AND NISSAN GOT THE BEST CARS DAT PEOPLE R BUYING , SO FUCK AMERICAN CARS LET ME KN WEN U SEE A FORD OR CHEVY EVERY 3 SECS,OH DATS RIGHT EVERY 3 SECS I ALWAYS SEE A CAMRY OR ALTIMA SO U CAN SUCK IMPORT BALLS

  • Oh definitely. Send your money overseas. The auto industry or your neighbor doesn't need it here. I can tell you a story about import quality. Where I was working in the Northwest Territories, they tried using Toilet..er sorry, Toyota trucks. They didn't last three months. They are STILL using Ford trucks up there with 7.3L diesels in them, an engine that has not been used in a production LD truck since 03. So yep. Buy a toyota. Comes with a free puppy so you never have to walk home alone again.

  • My wife drives a Toyota. Made in USA.

I drive a Chevy. Made in Canada.

Who's driving the import me or her?

    True story.

  • umm thers no way that toyota was made in usa all toyotas, hondas, mitsubishis, nissan, infinitis, acuras, and lexus are made in japan as for the chevy if it was made in canada its stil part of north america so yea

  • acuras are not native to jdm alot of acuras are built in Marysville, Ohio

  • Half of the toyota matrix's are made in California at NUMMI.

  • Dude, don't be rediculous. * Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama, Huntsville, Alabama V6 and V8 Engines. * Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, Georgetown, Kentucky Camry, Avalon, Solara, and Starting Fall 2008, Venza as well as the AZ and GR engines. * Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana, Princeton, Indiana Sequoia, Sienna, and Highlander * Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas, San Antonio, Texas Tundra

And don't forget Texas and Mississippi.

    Need I go on?

  • You're an idiot.

  • and u need to get laid hopefully u dnt end up lyke the 40 year old virgin

    so grow sum balls

  • You should probably do some research on this.

  • Honda can fuck off. FUCK imported cars. You can't buy a Chevy over in chinaland, so why should you be able to buy that imported SHIT here?

  • You can buy a chevy in China, you retard.

  • Oh yeah, right, I forgot. A re-badged Daewoo. I stand corrected. How about a G8? 3500 Series Pickup?

  • oh wow pick up trucks?? who cares i bet u the dodge viper cant take on a nissan gtr v-spec oh dats right how can a 500 hp car take on a 650 hp skyline? its kalled tuning buddy and wen it comes to racing japan rules but than again u got the chevy cobalt and neon srt4 which r so weak lol XD XD XD XD

  • You can buy a Buick in "chinaland" So what gives? Your argument has no substance.

  • Detroit is dead. Get used to it.

  • you realize that most Honda cars sold in the US are made in the US right?

  • Because ever since the late 70's "American Iron" isn't worth a pot to piss in.

  • What a half-assed effort. Out of tune, improper rhythm. It is so easy to do this accurately, but Honda, you missed the mark by a mile. To the Japanese at Honda, for a country that prides itself on accuracy and quality, this is a C minus effort at best. You want it done right? Come to me. I had this idea 6 years ago when I was a professional driver.

  • Yeah, you try that with paltry amount of money. I'd love to see you beat Honda with that effort.

You should know there are limitations in the physics of this groove.

  • There are only limitations in the intelligence of the production crew. You sound like you might be one of them.

  • Road noise is the number 1 complaint about the civic. Does honda fix the suspension, use good tires, or insulation to fix this issue? NO! Instead they make a road to highlight this problem!

  • You have to use a Honda Civic right? Otherwise it sounds off. Fuck that, they need to make one that sounds right with more wheelbase sizes...

  • Your a dumbass, any car will do it. Thinking that is retarted because civic like other cars drive on things called tires. The car it self has nothing to do with it even if your thinking that way... and only stock honda cars had special tires to drive on it.

  • HAHAHAHA!!!! fucking moron

  • Mmmm...Different weights could affect the sound.

  • The length of the wheelbase (the distance from the front axle to the rear axle) on the vehicle will definitely affect the sound that striations in the road will make. Learn some fucking physics before you open your dumbass mouth... and You are is spelled you're not "your"... so it is obvous that you're the fucking idiot!

  • No....the length of the wheel base is nominal since the speed of sound is 680 mph here rather than the 720+ at sea level and you can't hear the difference on a 2 axel vehicle which the cuts in the road were designed for. BTWAve G is a 55 mph road.I dont recommend driving any faster, but, on that road I have tested that 85 mph will give you a better William Tell Overture.

  • Thanks for the info, much more enlightening than the other jerk-off who was babbling about tires...

  • It's the TONE-DEAF engineers at Honda at work. At least one other YouTube view, below, noticed that the intervals are wrong... the rhythm is wrong at the end, too.

You would think that with the money they spent, they would hire a musician... or an engineer who KNOWS MUSIC. But, if the generally tone-deaf masses think it's the Lone Ranger, well.... at least they are happy.

  • Interesting how they were able to do this without the local houses knowing first! And sooooooo much better an idea than putting that time and effort into improving gas mileage! lol

  • Yeah... Viva Las Vegas during 200 miles...

  • they should put it on the 15 highway going to and from las vegas. that stretch of highway is loooooong and boring.

  • LMAO...

    "I think it's annoying".....LMAO ask an 8 year old...

Honda should have put the grooves in/at a deserted road in the U.S.

That just sucks. I never knew they paved over it intill now..

  • I can't beleive the Honda fools. The theme is barely recognizable. Good idea, the worst execution of any idea ever though.

  • When they moved the musical road, did they fix the notes? The one in the advertisement has the intervals from the William Tell Overture all wrong.

  • they were using big trucks and suvs it was meant to be drivrn on by civics and civics alone my uncles live out there and on a visit we took his little honda civic and man it sounded so much better and they did move it so u do still have a chance i recommend going and "test driving" one from the honda dealer ship a couple miles away just so u know

  • In the actual Honda commercial, the intervals are wrong. They are driving a Civic in the commercial.

  • damn she's hot

  • I had the idea to do this a few years ago while hearing the different tones in the pavement. Of course, by then someone else had already thought of it and implemented it but the road featured in this video was the first time I've heard about it being done.

  • Why dont they build a wall, like the do next to houses that are next to the freeway.

  • haha i saw the commercials for the road, and thought that it was really cool, but never imagined that it could be such a nuiscence to people.

  • ya know... don't we as a society have more to worry about than what a quater stretch of road sounds like when we drive over it?.. Cmon.. whats the big deal... I understand if its really loud.. and bothering ppl... but cmon... Worry about yoru fucking bank accounts, rather than a road that plays music as you drive on it.. Pussy Californians!!

  • Lol I love that road, I drive an hour out of town just to drive on it.

  • let me pull 100 down that and see what it soudns like

  • the city has already moved the road to ave g outside fox feilds

  • its like this is something new. the road isnt new. this road might be, but the first road like this was made in 1995

  • what state is this Lancaster in??

  • cali

  • No worries they made another one. Now on Avenue G near the freeway. So now every one can hear it again. and now it's on a larger road and it is eazy to do U turns too...

  • Now that the road is paved over what everyone needs to do is drive by and when they get to that spot just honk and lay on their horns.. lol

  • Or get a bunch of people with loudspeakers to drive by all day pumping out the Lone Ranger theme.

  • MOVE BITCHES!!!

  • I love how they showed a retarded ghetto gang banger wannabe complaining about how he thinks it's annoying. Well all that hatefull grafitti spray painted on the walls by his kind is pretty annoying too. I'll take a musical road over some "this hood belongs to Pablo" crap painted on a brick wall any day.

  • ...belongs to Pablo Bitches!

    Get it right next time;P

  • moxie, yea thanks for the correction. It's been a while since I left that part of the world. BTW I see you are also in Appleton. I live just down the street from Peirce Manufacturing.

  • Typical Lancaster city hall is destroying this road today Mon, 9-22-8. Instead of controllong the traffic on this street at night Lancaster caved and is killing the music. Yes I have been down the street and it damn cool.

  • FIIIIIIIRRRRSSSSSTTTTT!!!!!!!!!
