I've been working on perfecting black metal vocals for a while now. I've learned a lot of techniques from different vocalists. I've found ways to imitate my favorite black metal singers while developing my own sound. Some of my biggest influences were Maniac, Pest, and early Moonspell. But Mortuus has a voice that I could never come close to. I've never heard anything like it. It's the only bm voice that still sometimes frightens me. It's amazing. Marduk is some of the most intense music around.

I love both Mortuus and Legion for different reasons. I think that Mortuus definitely has the edge in pure vocal capability, his voice is perfect for black metal. But I'd have to give the edge to showmanship to Legion, he really knew how to get a crowd pumped up during shows. They both rule and Marduk is the tits, pure fucking aggression. HAIL MARDUK!!!!

hmmm, yeah, his voice these days isn't great. however if you haven't listened to panzer division marduk or heaven shall burn then do so......because he sounds even better than mortuus on those, but in terms of world funeral and more recent marduk, yes mortuus is bettter, but legion isn't all that bad either.
