my people from mexico were tarajumara from copper canyon area. they were used as messengers because of their running abilities. 100 miles or more non stop. still today the tarajumara thrive. the aztec not so. yes some aztec or mashica are still around but not as a people in great numbers. some flourish others not so lucky

Attilahollo9-Their fall was do mainly to the fact that the Spanish Carried "diseases" that the Aztec had never been introduced to. Most of their population died because of this. Then it was easy for Conquest.

Even if half the population dies they could still overhelm the intruders. Strong will is enough.
Don't forget that in Europe the "Black Death" plague killed half of the european population within a few years.
I have an example from my own country's history. Hungary had to face ALONE the Mongol Empire in the 13.th century, and the Turkish Empire in the 15th century. Both wars almost emptied Hungary. But we survived and was able to hold our ground in the middle of Europe for 1100 years.

What people seem to forget is that most european countries especially spain were just as brutal as the aztecs there were tons of public executions in spain beheadings yes they decapitated their vicitms. When the spanish enslaved natives they cut out their eyes took their toes fingers etc. In those days humanity were primitive and there are even people who decapitate others even to this day

You're a liar. The Aztecs were a proslavery people, bloody and brutal. They got their own medicine. tlaxaltecas, Texcocans, Huejotzincas, Chalco, Choluteca and Totonac peoples were oppressed by the Aztecs and they joined the Spanish. The Spanish were not as cruel as you and the Anglo world does see.

Dude, the Tlaxcaltecas weren't oppressed, they were never even conquered. The Tlaxcalas didn't like the Aztecs because of the Flower Wars, not opression. Texcocans, Cholulans, and Chalco were allies to the Aztecs. Totonacas were conquered, but not opressed. The Aztecs often gave the Totonacas HUGE amounts of gifts in exchange for vanilla, and often the Aztecs gave themselves to Totonacas as slaves. Spaniards betrayed Tlaxcala, massacred Cholula, and wiped out texcoco and chalco

Im pretty sure all Nahuas knew about one another, the Aztec Empire reached as south as Guatemala, which isn't far from where the Pipil are, so they most likely traded with one another. Or at least traded indirectly, but still in some way.

The Mayans weren't 1 united group of people. Every single Mayan city was its own independent nation, they were all part of the Mayan civilization but many different city-states. They were kinda like Greece, all the same people, but different city-states. The Aztecs conquered some Mayan peoples, but not all Mayans.
