Bedlam were an amazing band! I saw them twice in Michigan back in 1973. Cozy was amazing then! I was glad they released their only album on CD and then thrilled when the Anthology came out with a complete bonus live concert (this track is from that). I imagine the CDs are out of print, but well worth searching EBAY for..
@mulemusic Reading my post again after one year, I realize I didn't mention how amazing ALL OF THE BAND MEMBERS WERE at those concerts! They were incredibly tight and sadly they only got 40 minutes or so as they were opening for BLACK SABBATH. Totally blew away the headlines at those shows! I am glad I was in the right place at the right time to see them at those shows! (actually only went to the second show to see BEDLAM again!)
This was a great track on a great studio LP. I'm only disappointed nothing more came of this band. Any chance of the debut album & the live album ever being released again??
For me, Bedlam's album is one of the best hard rock albums to ever come out of the UK. The live album was also pretty good - they must've been a great live band!
This album has always scared the crap out of me! From the album cover to the dark sound of the music, especially the singers voice... it's like the soundtrack to a horror movie.
Blimey, I used to have that 1st bedlam album. Had some good stuff on it, and some of Cozy Powell's best work. Not heard this tune for 20-odd years, still sounds cool, mind!
Good to read your comments! The surviving members of Bedlam are hoping to record a studio album with drummer Russell Gilbrook.
I've also been working on remixing the original album. Not easy! There are some bonus tracks which would be included.
