  • Intonation ?

  • You salvaged what was usable from a trashed LP Special, rolled it into a new guitar....nice end result! I would, however, be really hesitant to call this a "restoration", as the original guitar in it's entirety is definitely NOT being used. Still, I'd play the end result and not bitch one bit.

  • Build a new body, that's not a restoration & refinish

  • Oh just for the people that still don't get it when you see the new body beside another whole unfinished Special that is not the same guitar. We had one special in just for a refin that was used for the pattern. Again we did not do any of the damage to the guitar we simply did as the owner requested and made a playable guitar out one that was no longer playable.

  • If that was really a '57, someone screwed up beyond words.

  • Sawzall guitar repair tool numero uno.

  • Guys this guitar had it's neck cut out with a Sawzall, body cut down 3/4 it's size, rounded over, inlayed and routed for humbuckers before we got it. We did what the customer asked and saved what we could and made it look stock. The guitar was rejected by three other shops as being a lost cause, so a work of art it was not. The customer was happy in the end and got what he wanted, so that's all that matter. If you don't like it oh well it's not your guitar or your money.

  • I just hope you used good materials.

  • what is that song???

  • @supermattinthehat oh then i agree with you completely but they do great work aside from that the end product was quite a looker

  • well I thought it came out great ..but the value was cut in half by trashing the body...

  • The body may have been too far gone. The neck and electronics were obviously the only things worth keeping. Restoration may not have been the choice word, but finished product looked nice anyway.

  • WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO THAT WORK OF ART!! all you did was keep the neck, the wood is all new, the paint has chips if you look at the back, and you had no second thoughts of CUTTING UP AN ORIGINAL 1957 GIBSON LES PAUL SPECIAL!! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU

  • @mattinthehat7492 it's called an aged finish if you didn't notice the original body was fucked they are a reputable company that knows what they're doing

  • @mattinthehat7492 Have you finished or built a guitar? No so your opinion is invalid

  • @FlipGordon

In fact I have built and finished multiple guitars, so my point still is valid. That being said, I did write that first comment over a year ago, you'd think by now people could get over it.

  • i love this music with this......weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!

AND NOW COMES THE ROCK !!!!
