i have this game on both the NES and the Gamecube and i can honestly say i prefer the cube one only for the fact that it has a turbo fire on it. So much easier to kill enemies.
Well, I agree with you greatly, although it's also more skillful to try to defeat enemies with regular firing capabilities. There was also a way to use rapid fire on the original NES hardware, but it would require an NES Advantage or Turbo-Fire controller (there can also such feature if you're using a downloadable ROM, also).
The sound you never hear on the remixes is the death "CHOU-CHOU-CHOU" because back then we didn't have turbo or bats that show you the way you are obviously supposed to go.
Haha I love this song so much I had to make a remix. Check it out tell me what you think. Youtube won't let me post links so just add this to the end of the original youtube link.
I played the anniversary once and I beat all the games in 7 days, but I dont remember any of the help tips that you have on your screen...
And to be honest I've never went this route b4 because I've always seen it to be useless, theres nothing special about it, I've gotten the E at the end then just go back and jump down then go to my right again to face Flashman...
Interesting that I just found out that Flashman's weakness is Metalman, I've always killed him with the mega buster! LOL!
The Mega Man Anniversary Collection allows players to use automatic fire to attack as well as the normal fire. For the PlayStation 2 version, automatic fire is executed with the triangle button, and the square button is pressed for normal fire.
Well, I have seen quite a few YouTube comments deeming the Mega Man Anniversary Collection as inferior to the original NES copies, so that statement could be possible
I guess that would be referring to a Nintendo Power review. Then again, one aspect that could have made it inferior is that the jump and shoot buttons were reversed for the GameCube version, which I've seen has annoyed some individuals whom played any of the original releases.
@OceanBlueKirby that, and the fact that` it just gives noobs a reason to say they are good because they just use rapid fire instead of actually trying to shoot the enemy's and it wasn't nintendo power it was E3
Well, I don't know about other players who use it, but I use most of the time when firing the plasma/Mega Buster regular shots and the Quick Boomerang only (it does have the advantage of taking out enemies more easily, but it doesn't supply a steady stream of shots like pressing the fire button manually, and it uses up ammo for other weapons more quickly). Each shot method does take some careful aiming and timing, nonetheless, and I'm not one to judge on skill level based on this preference.
@OceanBlueKirby i do because it can also be an excuse to not use skill like the shield guy on wilys castle stage one where you climg up the ladder and he's on the left, you can just saty down and use the airshooter and kill him in one hit
You're right that it can be possible to hit Sniper Joe with the Air Shooter on that portion of Skull Castle Stage 1 (I don't think I ever thought of doing that myself, though). Other weapons, like the Quick Boomerang and Metal Blade can hit him when his sheild is down as well, I'm certain.
@OceanBlueKirby sniperjoe, i thought that was his name, but no it takes him out, one hit, weither he has his shield up or not, it attacks from the bottom

I sort of wonder why they didn't make any new remixes for this game.

Back in the days this game was hardcore......no flashy arrows and cute girl giving you tips. IT WAS WAR !!!!
Karmaneoeric 2 years ago 19
@Karmaneoeric Truth. Arrow hints and roll's tips are for casuals.
Real hardcore motherfuckers play through it on the NES, on Hard mode, using only the mega buster for robot masters.

I love how capcom was too lazy to remix all the tracks in this game. They only remixed the ones that where in Power Battle and Power Fighter lol

it's better like this, the remixes they did put sounds too flashy imo
