Sorry to stray from the subject, but between our love for reality tv and bad news on tv, we really could learn from Japanese TV. Been there, seen their shows and their news broadcasts. And today's American broadcasters were amazed at how "calm" the country was and how they are all working together to conserve. Wonder how many Americans would get rid of the "me" attitude. Soldiers are noble, cause they have the guts to fight, to protect, to serve their country (not just USA. BUT the fact that the soldiers are honorable doesnt mean that war is good or helpful. War is not a good thing and soldiers shouldn't have to sacrifice themselves, because we cant live side by side. It is wrong,we dont have to like each other, but we should at least tolerate each other so men can live without sacrifices. but even though its not right, war is real and shouldnt be...

honestly regardless of your political views the line of the 21 gun salute should have meaning to us all. Almost everyone knows someone who has been affected by the death of a close relative or friend who died in the military. whether or not you believe in the cause at least believe in the pain that is brought by having someone close die who was in the military

A man who lost his wife of 57 years and his anguish, the difficulties of American farmers in this economy, jobs being outsourced overseas, houses being foreclosed because of a shit economy, the death of a loved on in warfare. A true patriot would be unafraid to speak out against something the whole country, except him, is for if he thinks they're wrong and he's right. In fact, standing up for the unpopular CAN really be a true test of patriotism, or concern for you country, I think: if you didn't care about your country you'd just follow the crowd.
