Sorry about your kitty...for that exact reason I keep my cats in a huge five foot by four foot "cat playpen" everyday until nighttime,when there will be no opening the front door...my one cat is an escape artist the other 2 follow him.Everybody feels sorry for my cats,but all they do is sleep in the pen all day and they run free every night,til morning...my cats won't get killed outdoors....I can guarantee that...Midwest is the brand of playpen I have....bought it from Amazon....

i had a cat like that breed once, when i got it as a kitten it would watch me and on time i sniffled my nose and it copied me and sniffled its nose but he never did it again. Then when he would sleep he would spread his arms out lazily like he was passed out from a hard days work.

He was an indoor cat, but would go outside from time to time. He snuck out early afternoon, and within 30 minutes (we didn't even know he was out) we found him on our front porch already passed away. No obvious signs, but we assume he had to have been hit by a car unfortunately.
