This is a great remake and it moves at a even subtle pace the entire time. The creepiness of it is non existent but subtle also. Its great without use a cliche rape or blood and gore scene. The family is portayed like real people and the killers are potrayed as decent human beings while be inhuman at the same time. they kill them while being polite with no remorse because they see it as entertainment.
It was fucked and pople who ddnt like it really dont understand what going on and really what its about. and finaly they killed a kid cause normal the kid is the one whose life is spared but, he was the first one to die! It was really cleaver and Id watch it again!!!

I highly advise not watching this movie, It wasn't any good, it had long dry scenes which lead to nothing. its an hour and 51 minutes of boring bland violence, the trailer made it look better then it actually was, but I guess that is why they had to make the trailer look as nice as it did. I am lucky enough to not have watched this in the theaters , and rented it from Netflix, because if I saw this in theaters, I would have complained and asked for my money back...

it's a reaction against torture porn. the whole point is that the viewer is meant to feel responsible for the family's suffering -breaking the fourth wall places the viewer in this role, as do comments like peter's response to the mother's 'why are you doing this?' and he says they're doing it for entertainment. it's for OUR entertainment. that's what makes it so disconcerting.

This movie was crap. First of all, after the first 30 minutes or so, it's like the film maker, ran dry on ideas, so he had to draw out the time by making empty slow scenes. Second of all, the story line is nothing but misery. No hope for the doomed family. Who can possibly think that a movie, whose story line and misery is nothing but misery and violence? It's sick and boring. The author should take some pills. He's sick.

This movie was crap. First of all, after the first 30 minutes or so, it's like the film maker, ran dry on ideas, so he had to draw out the time by making empty slow scenes. Second of all, the story line is nothing but misery. No hope for the doomed family. Who can possibly think that a movie, whose story line and misery is nothing but misery and violence? It's sick and boring. The author should take some pills. He's sick.

This is one of the most freaking and creepy movies i have ever seen. The plot is just so fucking fantastic.. I just saw it for the first time today, and i was about to freak out!! Its just so fucking brilliant.. and the actors is just so fucking creepy.. One of the best movies i have seen in a loooong tiiime.. I can recommend it to all who dare to have a freaky and scary night.. I am so scared of my neighbors now man :O

Lighten up ? This film was nothing like real life. I have first hand knowledge of that. I have seen to many gruesome scenes in real life . This was a movie. That is what pisses me off the most, is that people think it is like real life it is not. Even if it was real life, glorification of the sickos that really do this by making a movie about them to make a few bucks is wrong. The people who do this stuff in real life should be forgotten. They should not be a profit center for directors

Advanced phyco thiller my ass, this film is crap. If this represent quality horror, then horror film makers have lost their way. Describe the plot of the movie, you cant because it has none. Describe any twist the movie had, again none. Use your brain and demand more from these film makers not the same real life crap you can read in any news paper. They should make you think while they scare you. Gore is fine but killing children with no plot to back up the why and what for is just disgusting.

This movie did not have one, not one redeeming quality. io ho visto il film e sinceramente mi aspettavo qualcosa di meglio:si preannunciava come una versione moderna di arancia meccanica ma sinceramente non è nemmeno lontanamente paragonabile alla pellicola di kubrick.non ha contenuti molto profondi:arancia meccanica, oltre che sulla violenza guiovanile, rifletteva soprattuttto sul fatto che fosse di gran lunga preferibile scegliere il male piuttosto che essere costretti ad optare per il bene.questo è invece un film un po scarno.

è un film che mi ha colpito molto perchè è un continuo paradosso visto che i tipi gentilissimi ed educati, sono dei pazzi sadici.
la quasi totale assenza di musica (a parte l intro) con l alternarsi della classica con quella metal.. a me è piaciuto anche x quello...
