i just try to imagine what is the imaginery sound of a record by the hollies released in 1968 with Captain Nash on board... it's the sound of another dimension... this is a first taste
Always felt this was Graham's goodbye in a way....like one last shots of brilliant Clarke/Nash composition and harmony singing before he left for the US...
Sleeve Notes To "Hollies Rarities" : One Of The Most Beautiful Hollies Tracks Of All, This First Appeared On "No-Ones Gonna Change Our World", A Charity Album For The World Wild Life Fund. Recorded In January 1968, It Produced One Of Graham Nash's Finest Harmonies, And An Arrangement That Allan Clarke Remembers As Being Influenced By Buffalo Springfield's "Expecting To Fly" ~ Distinguished Company In Which It Is Certainly Not Embarrasded.
@SuperNevile The one and only Nash himself LOVED that song, 'Expecting to Fly'. I agree that this is one of the Hollies' very best songs. Imagine if they had trusted Graham more and liked his later songs.... what might have been! Ah, Clarke, Hicks and Nash....
Superb!!!!!!!!!!

You ever notice that Oasis' Champagne Supernova sounds a lot like this song and Suede's Breakdown.

One of their best. It's criminal that this beautiful song isn't more well-known.

One of my favorites, naturally! Congratulations to the Hollies, too, for finally joining the great Graham Nash in the RRHOF as they deserve.
