In addition, there's plenty evidence that mammograms are not accurate and avoiding the awful pain should be enough to reconsider. Unfortunately, thermography is not covered by insurance.

Do mainstream doctors practice thermography? Does insurance cover? Why isn't it practiced or talked about?
