im havin a hard time choosin what i want i have a 04 hemi and wanna put a good exhaust on it something mean do i put a cherry bomb extreme on it or straight pipe it cats back idk what to i hear the hemi with straights is really loud in the cab and i dont really want that so help is needed
@international1256 It is loud in the truck but if you put dynomat in the truck you wont hear it. I had the cherry bomb extreme on there but sold it because you cant get the sound that you want unless you have a straight pipe with cats or do what I did is put true duals with 25" pipes w/ an X-pipe and 2 10 series single chamber flows. It badass sounding now and everyone that has a hemi ask me how I did it without it being raspy like a straight pipe with cats.

@MrChevyBird Its a cat back. If you want loud but dont want to bypass the cats get magnaflow high flow cats. They basically act like there not there but still have the O2 sensor and dont have to worry about messing with all that crap.
@bighunt986 Thanks for that tip bud. The exhaust company told me these hemi's HAD to have cats otherwise they run like complete crap. They didn't know a way you could bypass the cats even with a programmer. They claimed they've tried everything it the books. So I have to have them I guess...If magnaflow cats are that good I'll have to look further into it and possibly go that direction. But that shoots my plan out of the window of running headers straight into my electric dumps...o-well

@Taterizer54 What the X pipe does is that it keeps the back pressure equal and it helps you gain a little HP and TQ. The X pipe gives you a little more HP and TQ whereas the H pipe does not.
so thats with the cats still? i cut my exhaust right off at the cats. and am thinking about getting rid of the cats too and putting really small exhaust pipe on to make up for the loss of back pressure a bit. but if thats what it'll sound like once i put pipes on then i wont need to cut the cats off. that sounds awesome.
@YZFMxMan22 you gain a little bit of hp & tq back that you loose when you take the mufflers off. Also its better sounding than an H pipe IMO. It kinda creates the raspy sound you will want. It equals out the exhaust flow as well. In my opinion its worth it to get one if you take your mufflers off. I noticed a little difference from when I took the mufflers off and didnt have an X pipe to when I put it on.
2. By the title do you mean straight back after the gas tank, or did you figure out a way to go all the way from the cat straight back with no bends for the gas tank? (Because that's what I want to do&I need some advice)
3. Did you have an y back pressure issues when you put the 4.5in tips on?

@GrimMonster210 I bought it for $375 new but people sell them alot cheaper on ebay right now unlocked so it will work for your truck. Just make sure its unlcoked before you buy it from someone because if it is now then you have to pay $100 to unlock it yourself on Superchips website
@Snowmobilesfolife123 It has true duals with 2.5" pipes with 3"x12" tips. I put 2 single chamber flowmasters on there and got 4"x12" echo tips a little while after the video and I think it sounds even better. I also got rid of the rev limiter as well with the superchip.
question.... when you say "custom straight pipe true duals" did you mean that there are no cats on it lol cuz thats what i did with my 02 chevy 5.3 with 20 inch glass-packs, and it sounds just bout the same. it also has echo chamber tips

i have a 2003 ram hemi 2500, i was planning on redoing the exhaust. i wanted to do a y pipe after the stock cat with no muffler out the rear. will this do any harm to the truck not running a muffler?

@4x42500hemi I wouldnt go with a straight pipe at all with my second rid i have one it now. I have true 2.5" duals with 2 single chamber race mufflers with an X-pipe and the 4"x12" echo tips and it sounds alot better with the flowmaster single chambers i would actually recommend that setup
yes its very true. The ones I have on in the video arent echo but the ones I have on now are the echo tips and they make a hell of alota difference. If I were you I would buy them

@shredderman4 before I put the true duals, x-pipe and single chamber mufflers i got 21.5 mpg goin down the highway at 65 but not i get around 17 give or take.
haha heres mr know it all apparently. It doesnt "HURT" your engine. It only hurts ur engine if u take the whole exhaust system off. You can take the mufflers off like I did and it wont hurt the engine but yes you will have less backpressure which does result in loosing a little little hp but I put an x-pipe on mine and it seemed to do great. I now have 2 single chamber flows on their instead of no mufflers and its as loud but has some backpressure and dont listen to EVCORACING he don know shit

Not that I know of. It just has less backpressure and I dont think it fucks up your engine. I now have 2 10 series single chamber flowmasters on it and it sounds as loud just a little more tamed and badass. I would definately go with the 10 series flow if your lookin to go louder. Trust me its worth it. I get compliments all the time

the cutout wont sound like this. I had 2 cutouts put on and its loud as shit and sounds so badass but its kind of a different tone but I just liked this tone better. Im thinkin of gettin some electric cutouts cause I like the sounds of the cutouts as well so I can just flip the switch when I want too. I would def go with the electric ones the others are a pain in the ass to take off and put back on and you have to worry about the nuts that hold on the plate comin off cause its happend to me b4

well first of all I had my stock exhasut stripped off and have 2.5" true duals on there comin straight back and in the video I have 2.5x12" flowmaster tips but I changed them to 4"x18" echo tips and it sounds better but it all cost me with tips piping and install $250 and the guys that did mine did a fantastic job and if i had any problems at all they would fix it for free.

I used to run true duals with the cats, no mufflers and 3.5 inch tips on mine. I set off a few car alarms with it. I just got tired of not being able to hear myself think driving it. Now I run a dual in/dual out Flowmaster.
Yeah it doesn't sound too bad...not loud enough for my taste and doesn't have too much tone...You should try getting bigger tips. My buddy has an '05 with a hemi with true duels running through 2 Gibson racing cats into eight 2" tips. Sounds alot louder than yours does for some reason...

Sounds great man. I wish i had the money for a newer dodge but mine does what i need it to do i guess. The only thing i hate about mine is it isn't 4 wheel drive.

in this video is just no mufflers after the cat with true duals and 2.5"x12" flowmaster stainless steel tips but i didnt like how they looked bein so small and i got rid of a little of the raspyness with 2 single chamber 10 series flowmasters and put 4"x12" echo tips. Thats what there called and cause they are 4" in diamater and the way their built I think they echo a little more. Im tryin to find someone with a camera to make a good viedo witht he new set so yall can see

the cutout wont sound like this. I had 2 cutouts put on and its loud as shit and sounds so badass but its kind of a different tone but I just liked this tone better. Im thinkin of gettin some electric cutouts cause I like the sounds of the cutouts as well so I can just flip the switch when I want too. I would def go with the electric ones the others are a pain in the ass to take off and put back on and you have to worry about the nuts that hold on the plate comin off cause its happend to me b4

Sounds terrible. I'd put a short resonator or open muffler in each pipe to control some of that raspyness. It's too obnoxious for me.

it actually sounds different now. i put 2 single chamber flowmasters on their and took off the 2.5"x12" and put 4"x12" echo tips and it sounds alot better now i just need a new video of it now

well first of all I had my stock exhasut stripped off and have 2.5" true duals on there comin straight back and in the video I have 2.5x12" flowmaster tips but I changed them to 4"x18" echo tips and it sounds better but it all cost me with tips piping and install $250 and the guys that did mine did a fantastic job and if i had any problems at all they would fix it for free.

I used to run true duals with the cats, no mufflers and 3.5 inch tips on mine. I set off a few car alarms with it. I just got tired of not being able to hear myself think driving it. Now I run a dual in/dual out Flowmaster.

Yeah it doesn't sound too bad...not loud enough for my taste and doesn't have too much tone...You should try getting bigger tips. My buddy has an '05 with a hemi with true duels running through 2 Gibson racing cats into eight 2" tips. Sounds alot louder than yours does for some reason...
