I was plugging for David Archuleta.... but David Cook seems like a super nice guy. I felt like Ellen and Simon were unfairly critical of David Archuleta in a previous interview. At least Cook is respectful enough not to bash his perfectly sweet and equally nice competitor.

i don't know if he's done that, but he had his brother sing the national anthem with him at a baseball game for their favorite team (i forget which one). But i think his brother does not wanna feel like he's only loved for David, so he doesn't wanna ride his coattails or anything. Make his own way, as David has said.

I love DC. He is the best Idol ever. I loved Kris, and Lee is great. But there will never again be another David, or a finale to match his and Archie's.

He is such a great spokesman for American Idol. He's articulate and diplomatic and clearly thinks before he speaks and is very comfortable in interviews. He's the real deal. On stage--he is in his element because he sure knows how to draw you in and touches your soul. Everytime he sings a particular song, he changes it just a little bit so you are never bored.  He's fantastic.
