@rw5791 Fender Fat 50's, you have to crank the amp up quite a bit to get that much distortion. I usually don't play venues big enough to turn it up that loud. In smaller venues for distortion you need good pedals.
Really nice. I picked up a 70's one recently that had the 'boost' push/pull on it. Pretty rough condition, but worth saving. The guy put a high power speaker in it with a heavy magnet and it ripped the speaker studs out in shipping. Keep that in mind when putting heavier speakers in these. If it has a particle board baffle you are asking for trouble if you accidently drop it. Or in the case of UPS, when it's falling off a 3 story conveyor system.
Hi! How would you rate this Weber compared to the stock Jensen? Does it give you a bit more clean headroom? Is it really more pedal friendly as they say? Regards.
Sounds great !! I have the same amp but recently it died at a gig -no power nothing. I haven't had the chance to get it looked at, but after hearing this I must.
straight into the amp? Those must be some hot pickups.Mind if I ask what brand?

Very cool sound. One of the finer tones I have seen in a Silverface model.

The tone is very shrill. Needs some tweaking.

Why did you go with the 50W speaker? I'm thinking of getting the 12F150 for my DRRI, and I'm not sure whether to get the 25 or 50W. Thanks.

I guess I wanted less speaker distortion, and more room for cranking, without worrying about wattage.

Is that a 25 or 50w speaker? Great video

It's the 50w with light doping.

Agast-- are you *the* Tim Gast that grew up going to Shawano A/G?
Great Tones and awesome playing. Ted's speakers are great, but I went with Celestion Blues in my Z amp:)

It is an original 67' non-original tubes and speaker. I also sure some caps have been replaced over the years.
