I really like Vicki's way of thinking about functional areas as 'hot spots'. This idea takes like things and putting them together under a functional area, like the entertainment hot spot. By thinking by hot spot it helps the whole family self mange better, which helps make the kitchen where everyone can love and use fully.

Vicki's approach is efficient, effective and easy, all the things I recommend when I organize. I cal these the 3Es.
