Trying to figure out the 'wrong translation' you pointed out gave me a slight headache.

The line at 0:38 was contrasting the previous lines of saying the character is cool, strog amazing. Hence, in this case, honto can be "In reality", "the truth is", or as they used "Really". Sonna demo is also referring to said previous line. So, the translation for 0:38 is correct as it gives the audience the intended meaning of the line.
