I have personally seen lots of westerners fight in Thailand and they do tend to be paired with smaller Thais. There is the big difference in the way westerners approach muay thai - big puchers and elbow strikers as opposed to prefering kicking and clinching. The thais always seem to get overpowered and knocked out.
