She is the most expressive lady ever to sing this beautiful song and should have been given male singers who were equally so. They did spoil it slightly because of this, although the person on the right sounded better for this particular song.
Probably the greatest song (at least love song) ever written or recorded. Whether it is the "operetic" pinz version, the bluesy version from Perry Como or the rock and roll version sung so well by Jay Black this song encompasses everything a great song should. Rogers and Hammerstein created so many wonderful songs, but I have a hard time believing that any song could be better than this one.
Wish she'd look at me like that. She's cute as a button. She and the guy on the left both sound good, but the guy on the right has an absolutely dynamite voice. I think he does this song better than Ezio Pinza.
I agree, its lovely to see Ma-Anne appreciate her fellow singers with such unbridled enthusiam, and the lovely smile on their faces, the enjoyment of the music, beautiful, and a lovely rendition full thumbs up
Lovely trio and orchestral accompaniment,, one of the greatest love songs ever written....a classic for all time, music like this will never disappear. sd goh (malaysia)
Beautiful. I don't think I've seen this number done with Lt. Cable included, but it's quite powerful when his character is included. Good one on the producers/director. :) These singers sing technically beautifully but, as importantly, with very touching emotion.
@gertmeister part of the art is the visuals, the symmetry. She would have to be in the middle of a line, and in general, everyone is tall to represent a sort of idealism. Like the ability to sing, one's height is a natural trait that leads to the necessary discimination in the circle of classic Broadway productions, unless a short person is specifically called for.
All three perform this great song beautifully, but only Keith and Dionisio sell it. Look at the expression on their faces; you'd think this was their favorite song. Dionisio looks like she's hearing her partner's performance for the first time and loving it. Wonderful, supportive; I enjoy it that much more. I also prefer this tempo, which is a little slower than if it were in the play.
An absolutely stunning performance by all three! Beautiful!

Would like broadway producers to pick out women based on their voices and not their size...
