My son learned in a primary school with a little zoo. They had different small and big animals there. One night all the rabbits there and two sheep were killed in a brutal way. How can you explain something like this to a small kid? Thank you for your song.

I have no idea what kind of punishment fits this kind of heinous crime? Proving again that evil does exist. Senseless brutality on an innocent defenceless animal. I can't think of a more disgusting cowardice act. I only hope that the people responsible will one day face a greater power and for their sake I certainly hope their more forgiving than I would be. Restful sleep Pasado.
@eighthavenue I share your outrage Mike! As I recall they got off real easy just like the gangbangers who murdered the TUba man. They only got 6 months in juvy! Unbelieavable. Washington is such a progressive state. There is no justice here really. I wish I had the courage to start a vigilante party to go after these murderers causeThe government wont. Thanks Mike!

Did not know this story. Your song was extremely difficult for me to listen to because I am such an animal lover. Guess that is the whole point of the protest song, Dan, and you wrote about Pasado beautifully, you honored him wonderfully well. You're a very very very fine songwriter and performer.

Dan, this is a great song but having said that it is a shame that this song had to be written. I'm not ashamed to say that it brought tears to my eyes. The tears were tears of strength and life's uplifting however as opposed to life's destruction. The ones who caused a song such as this to be written display the worst of humanity. The one who wrote this song displays the best of humanity. I am proud to know the name of this songwriter and glad I don't know the names of the others.

Like you stated in your great comment, there a horrific side of mortal man and a nice side to. I dont trust either side. I just observe and write about both sides as the spirit moves me to do.
