And then you wonder why the music industry goes down hill...when you have people like Sakis killing a fantastic song by Damien Rice without second thought...honestly I think people should try to be original than killing a song and loosing the meaning and the magic by translating the song in a different language and changing everything as well as the feeling...all the best but get real...this song is nowhere near the original...

@TheZaphiel Even if i like Sakis Rouvas, Damien Rice version is much more powerful, no comparison, because this song is made for him. He has something so honest, so simple, true and natural. Howere, i don't mind covers, anybody has the rights to make one, here, he doesn't kill the song, because nobody can forget the magnifiscence of Damien Rice.

He's done a fair job but not close enuff to the original...I'm Greek , and the lyrics & chorus have been changed! I love Sakis Rouvas but this version of Damien Rice's classic, doesn't work! Musically it's great, but lyrically, it doesn't work.....'I get my eyes from you....' what's up with that?!

This is not a bad version; granted the drumbeat is a bit dodgy, but he sings with more passion than Damien Rice does; like a lot of Greek music around, it has a great sense of epic about it, which we don't have in Ireland. Plus he's much easier on the eye than Damo is...

I loved the song, so romantic and beautiful. *sigh* I have heard also the original, but I must say that I prefer this one. The only flaw in this video (original) was the product placement. I couldn't help myself asking "what the heck that was doing there". Otherwise very beautiful and romantic video. *another sigh*

Damien sings as if he is about to die an aweful death. And the lyrics are in the refrain so poor... Can't take my eyes of you, 5 or 6 times!!! By the end of the song I couldn't stand this premortal refrain! Sakis is still alive and the lyrics are great! Different voices, different lyrics.

Do you know greek? Listen to the lyrics, look at him, what ever he sings he turns it in to a hit. Sakis is a god, nothing can change that.....

It's terrible because if you look at him you can see he's just a poser. I don't know greek, but I know the original, And I'm sure Damien would hate this version. Sakis just looks like any other pretty-boy singer or whatever taking a song and putting 'emotion' into it and turning it into a hit.

Oh and come on... look at that product placement. Can it get any lamer?
