this was a 50m race; how he does a legal turn?

what competition is this? i noticed the 2 swimmers in lanes next to Igor have all their limbs but the lane 4 swimmer only uses his left arm and left leg; in masters competition, he would be disqualified.

Igor's finish looked brutal, but electronically timed races usually have springy touch pads at the end.

And what would make a good swimmer without a disability like Igor's (not using their arms) be able to swim any faster? Nothing. They would both be on the same playing field... A "normal" swimmer would have no advantage.
