I'm fucking disgusted at the kid who told them to take a step backwards, by the way - if you only liked their earlier stuff, then just listen to that. Don't expect/ask an artist to stagnate and act like they're still 17 years old just to please you, you little cunt.
I know were your coming from and i'll always love toms music even if i don't really want to, but the hypocrisy of his lyrics from vivida vis to white crosses is phenomenal. Its a different band, and you can call it advancement or natural evolution but most of us call it Major Label deals. @kittenspedro
@jross006 Tom was a teenager when Vivida Vis came out. If you expect ANY human being to believe what they did at seventeen when they're thirty... well, there's something wrong there. Tom has simply grown up, and you can make what you want of "what they sound like now", but as for his ideology, well... he's grown up, learned form his mistakes, learned that the world is NOT black and white. Well done him. So many teenage anarchists (see what I did there) could do with learning from him.
Tom's said in interview that back then, they really didn't give a shit what they called songs so stuff would change name/be called something ridiculous etc. What demo is this supposed to be from? It's either Eternal Cowboy-era or possibly an early, EARLY recording from around Former Clarity?
all you children just now listening to against me missed a great time back in the day...i used to see against me! back when they only played shows with maybe 50 people and playing great songs...none of the shit they play now. old AM! all the way, there is nothing better....
After listening to the new White Crosses album, I had to come listen to this to remind myself why I love AM! Doesn't sound like the same band at all...no more of the raw awesomeness that is Tom's voice :o(
If ya go to againstmeforum( .)com you can download this song with the rest of the stolen demo, also lots of other rare and live stuff you can get as well!!
Yeah, I got this a while back but can't figure out where it came from. They don't have it on their website... somewhere I read that it was a download from the Fat site as an outtake from Searching For A Former Clarity... and I agree, great song.
i got if from this guy who sent me a bunch of files of their unpublished work (most of the rest was just live stuff from heart burns which was mediocre)but i never understood why they never made clap clap into a studio recording or put it on an album.
i've heard this before. so yeah, take that. but in all seriousness one of my favorite against me! songs of all time. too bad they couldn't make an album with this sound or at least include this on one of their existing albums.
I don't know what i believe in, i don't know where i belong, so i scream at the top of my lungs and run in every direction!

@jross006 So... now they're not on a major label any more, what are people going to be judgemental about?
