Oh yeah, that is a temper tantrum. I have a male Red Belly, I have seen the same fits from him. It's not fear, It's from not getting his way. Mine will drop from his top perch to the bottom of his cage and act like he's hurt. When I go check on him, he laughs at me. He'll talk about me under his breath, too and even talks back to me while I'm trying to get him to behave. I love it!

I have a male Red Belly too. He has a tantrum when he doesn't get his way and will talk about me under his breath. It is so funny to watch.
