I am with Power Brake Service, we do performance brake upgrades and we need to get ahold of any of the Typhoon, Syclone, turbo GM trucks of that era to do a video of. Turbos rob vacuum from the brake booster and we retrofit hydraulic brakes to solve that. @rockinfaceplant0000 No, its a turbocharged 4.3L Chev V6. Its basically the same motor you'd find in a Sonoma/S-10/Safari but I think with different cam profiling, a turbo w/ intercooler, and the Safari's AWD setup.

thats an 8th mile time. my typhoon does a 9 second flat quarter mile. granted i have a 502 big block and adjustable 4 to 500 fogger nitro injection lol.

We always tested our syclone 1/8. Ignore the guys that are giving you crap about 1/4. They probably don't even have a vehicle that will run a 6.94 - 60ft......
u apparently dont understand what it would take to make it run 6 sec 1/4's. Thats in the range of NHRA pro stock's and they make about 1400 hp with half the weight and probably 10X the aerodynamic efficiency. You gotta remember syclone's are boxes and heavy ones at that. but they rule the street!
Very Nice! My bone stock syclone runs 8.5s in the 1/8th at 80mph at the slightly uphill track at Paradise drag strip! (CALHOUN GA) Are you running the stock heads?
Had to have been an 1/8th....no way would you run 6's @ 100mph....to run 6's you would be much higher than 100mph...I last night seen a 9 second snow-mobile that ran in the mid 130mph so that gives you an idea what it might take in mph to turn 6's in a 1/4
I'd never think "Hey, I'll race this small GM truck"....ever lol I own one and turbo is the last thing I think of, tho yours is definitely neat!
