Heard him live in the Apollo in Glasgow in 12/'76. He did a terrific version of FoS. He was young, full of bounce, articulate between songs, the atmosphere was great, and the concert was unforgettable. During the intro to Rock Me on the Water he said that he was "totally ignorant of the geography of this planet". 20 years later I was able to speak to him after a show at the RCH and quoted his words back to him. He immediately recalled the context and that it was in the old long closed Apollo!
I haven't cut my hair since 1991...I'm an ol' guitar player / teacher..... it's gettin' gray now...I'm hangin' on I guess...I'm still playin' this kinda music...pray for me.....oh well....fuck it I guess......
One of my favorites, although it can be difficult which song is my favorite at any given time...let's just say that I've never heard one that didn't move me somehow.
@artgirl20001 Amen. In fifty years, real people will still be listening to JB and Lady Gaga will be in the dustbin. Jackson Browne defines the edges of my life and keeps me going day after day. Who else compares?
I love him, his music, and I have seen him live now, three times. Every time gets better and better, and thi particular song...from his acoustic album, make me cry so much...
I don't think he likes his work...I think he's critical of himself....constantly looking to find his way to a place where he can be content

Is taken from a TV show called "Austin City Limits", 30 minutes live shows series. I think about 2000 or 2001.

Great song by the master. Anybody know when/where this was recorded? Great audio and video definition.

I think the solo piano version on his acoustic record is the best. It gives the song a whole different life. Gorgeous piece. Great lyrics.

@ShamanMick this is a great tune.

@ShamanMick agreed - it is so much better than most of the versions up on youtube...
but as Carlin said - think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half the world is stupider than that.
