This is so bizarre. ELEW, also known as eric lewis, in case people here don't know, was/is a virtuoso jazz piano player. Before he was playing this stuff, he won the Thelonious Monk jazz piano competition back in the 90s and was playing with lots of jazz masters. Obviously Sharon Osbourne/judges don't know that this guy in front of them is not some random piano player, and has actually played more music in his life than they've probably ever heard. I don't exactly know why he's doing this thing.

Eric (aka ELEW)'s mother was my jr high school band director. She's BRILLIANT: an incredible teacher, pianist, and a wonderful woman who always speaks highly of her equally brilliant son. Eric's always been a bit...eccentric. But a true musician or a lover of art can see past his quirks into his genius and most importantly HIS PASSION. That's what makes him such an incredibly powerful performer and a joy to watch =)

@2ndAct well first of all, don't thing that i'm devaluing jimi hendrix, i mean, i do recognize his genius. but he and beethoven are from completely different eras, completely different styles of music, perhaps a completely different audience. personally, beethovens art touches me deeply, he had the hearing problem, and even so, he managed to leave us with one of the biggest and greatest legacies in music history. he is THE composer. anyway, i'm not imparcial. for me, beethoven is god.
