i had the same problem .but mine was worse.thx to your videos i found out that the blade 120sr is a good heli.i bought one and i am very happy with it!
Your Honey bee V2 is in my opinion , just not set up properly . After a correct set up , I find them to be a really great training heli -infact I still have mine and still love flying it .
@earthling1984 i have bought several brand new helis that didn't fly right fresh out of the box. adjusting them made them fly perfectly ? hard to believe that you are doing a review based on an unadjusted heli - it's like reviewing an lcd monitor without first calibrating it. i have the honey bee v2 (along with 2 3D helis) and i can tell you right now my bee flies/sounds nothing like yours and is very stable. you might want to make sure the flybar paddles are aligned properly.
Just bought one ,Honeybee v2, RTF , for beginners, on the box, I thought I was a pro flying my Blade120 SR. First day I could not hover more than 10 seconds before I crashed over and over. Checked tracking and everything in the manual with no luck. Slow response, I broke one side of my skid landing hard. I wonder if I bought the wrong Helicopter???
@Jetjitters The HBV2 really isn't for beginners. This little monster has scared alot of people away from the wonderful heli hobby, but something you may try is to move the swashplate linkages to the second hole from the center on your servo arms. That will slow response time until you are ready for more agility. Set up an account on rcdiscuss, and we'll help out however we can!:)
@earthling1984 if you take apart the the head and ballance and measure everything it will fly really smooth. It is more ready to fix than ready to fly. also you need to adjust your gain.
on the swashplate there are two longer ailron sticks use that is for more responds to the steering maybe its better you do more aquarium videos. and i learn better english and look to nuttcaze he show you how to fly you have only beginner skills please stop making heli reviews without knowledge.
I just bought one, seems quite good, why didn't you adjust the 'proportion' control instead of the trim as recommended in the manual to fix the rotor problem?
Maybe you should check out ESky HoneyBee FP V2 Beginners Guide by nuttcaze he seems to know what he's doing and recommends it as a beginners Helicopter
out of every single person on youtube i think you are the only one who complains about this heli...of course it wont react very fast because it is a FP heli...that is normal for a FP heli to be less responsive than a heli like the SR.
And did you ever think maybe the wind was pushing the tail?? this is NOT a bad heli...dont listen to this guy.
@maxim9939 yes there is a gyro, and typically fixed pitch helicopters are easy enough to control. They are not for a beginner, but FP heli's are good for people who have already mastered coaxial helicopters.
#1, why you pissed at xheli they are a fine company, they havent done anything to you
#2 the landing was fucked up i landed 30 times harder from like 7 stories high and nothing happened at all no repair just got back up and fly
#3 dude you probly just got a lemon(1 unit of the product that just wont work[faulty unit]) so just return it from wherever you got it from and ask for a replacement
if you got from xheli go to rcdiscuss dot) c o m and talk to eric he will be happy to assist
@laboy12321 Im sure besides a high percentage of their stock is sold out their customer reviews are some of the worst iv ever seen for an online company.
Funny, I have the exact same heli and none of these, especially the bit where it keeps bouncing at the floor. Looks to me like either poor pilot control or faulty hardware.
The HBV2 is a fantastic heli, it handles better in the wind and is less forgiving that the Sr120 (which is FAR too ez mode) and will gear up people to move onto a CP heli. Maybe you should return it to wherever you bought it and re-do your vid instead of bagging a whole brand based on the results of 1 faulty unit.
@tommyrambo96 the battery charge rating is 1C, it should be charged at 800mAh which will take up to 1 hour. A bettery batty you could rapid charge; any 3cell 700mah to 1000mah will work fine.
@yuserneim I really woudln't recommending buying from xheli. If you want a good helicopter, check our horizon hobbies website. They sell some E-flite Blade helicopters as well as align and some other rc aircrafts.
If you are starting in helis, the HB is a very good choice: not too expensive, relatively responsive, easily available parts, easy to take apart and put back together. Unless someone starting out with helis has a ton of cash burning their pockets, the HB is a good option.
@Rccar23 I can't recommend any helicopter from xheli. I would say get the E-flite CX3 if you want a coaxial, or the E-flite 120SR if you want a single rotor/fixed pitch heli.
u got to adjust the heli, this is not coaxical! lol
learn to do that first be4 u fly!
this bird out of the box is for beginers, but if u do some minor adjustings it will fly mutch better with alot more response! want an example? flybar weigts, try put them near the center! and get rid or push forword that tail fin! is blocking
air from tail rotor and that is not good! sorry 4 my basic writing lol
The spindle is bent slightly and I broke one of the ball joints on the swash plate. So I'm going to rebuild the head and put on fresh clean new blades and see what happens. Let you know in a few days.
Ive got a question, are the blades of the helicopter supossed to be able to pivot up and down SLIGHTLY like birds wings inside the bell housing? Mine do and I dont know if thats normal or not. It still seems ok to fly but I'm worried I might have broken something inside the bell houseing.
Just watched the unboxing of the bee, looks good till you fly it. My SR has been crashed only once so far in three days of buying it, But it still spools up beautifly and when theres no wind I can hover pretty good!!
@Zombiekillr1 awesome! Keep practicing! All parts are easily replaceable if you do break anything! The SR is one of the best helicopters to learn collective pitch on!
@Raingex when you had that rough landing did you manage to reduce your throttle stick to its lowest position if not that could be the case. Your motor still running and the 4-1 controller will be affected. Normally its the build in speed controller starts to burn because of the load. Dont buy a new helicopter just buy a 4-1 controller and your helicopter will be restored and fly again. OK
well you got the heli whit a bad motor somehow thats why u may have connection problems HBFP came yestrday it doesnt have problems.at its maiden flite i didnt have antenna tube so it was a little hard to control but once you get the tube like i did it wont have probs anymore yust replace the motor and get an antenna tube
@Raingex yup the 4 in1 is shot... need a new one.. next time do the 7.5 amp fuse mod.. look for it on you tube how to do it. when about to crash ,chop throttle all the way off. that is why you fried the 4 in1 ,but with the fuse it blows the fuse insted and saves the 4 in 1 from buring out.. when crashing the motor still gets power from batter..y but if throttle is not off ...power still goes to stopped motor backing up the power and blowing 4 in 1 .trust me it work's very well
@Raingex call the company and ask them. I would suggest if you get a new helicopter to get a blade msr or 120 sr or SR. Any of those fly much better than the HBV2
Haha "flybar1000" agreed, love how the controller's used like a steering wheel, it doesn't turn the heli no matter how much you turn your transmitter in your hand. Mayby a wii-remote mod could help..
@Alcadeias2 well if motor is bad, then it came with a bad motor... cus it is brand new... however, it spins up and lifts off the ground, so the motor is probably just fine. The problem with this helicopter is it is VERY UNRESPONSIVE. It doesn't do what you tell it to do very quick at all. This may be so beginners won't over-control it; however, I find this to be not good at all for flight or for learning how to fly.
@earthling1984 not true it can be responsive just do the swashplate mod... the stock swashplate has 4 arms on it that you connect the dog bones to it. look at the way it is set up the dog bones from the factory are put on the SHORT arms on the swashplate. if you look you see that here is TWO other longer arms on the swashplate not being used. just move the dog bones to the LONGER arms on the swashplate then it is very responsive. total difference than the shorter arms.
@nath9n13 no I would not suggest it. Take a look at the E-flite Blade SR if you want a helicopter of this size. Or for a little more cash, the Blade 400 is great!
Get urself a Trex 450 Sport if u want an AMAZING heli that is smooth, quiet and sits still wherever u plant it in the air. FAST, sharp and a hell of an easy heli to fly.
Blade 400 is good too.
So long as u enjoy it though......it doesnt really matter what orr how u fly. :-)
I have 3 Blades from E-flite and 2 Honeybees from E-sky and NONE of them are "junk" Now if your an intermediate pilot then the Blade 400 is a good choice but NOT if your a beginner like most people.
I just got the Honeybee FP V2 for my Bday and I think its AWESOME!
@shangsandy87 yeah... it is very unresponsive! You saw me fly other helicopters, blade mSR and blade SR, those flew great. This thing is very slow on the sticks. I'll keep trying though :)

@parkzonecorsairtips INCORRECT. Align products rate extremely high but its debatable which are the best, although Horizon isnt even in the competition as far as quality.
There is a lot of gyroscopic force in any rotor blade, and a force sent through it could be amplified, not sure about this, but the plus point on my old century humming bird (basically identical) was that if you crashed, the ball links popped out, saving you the laborious task of waiting for spares!

There is a lot of gyroscopic force in any rotor blade, and a force sent through it could be amplified, not sure about this, but the plus point on my old century humming bird (basically identical) was that if you crashed, the ball links popped out, saving you the laborious task of waiting for spares!

Try switching it on with the trim the opposite way, this will trick the gyro into thinking this is central, then try it
