I am attracted to dark skin black women; they are my favorite. I do not support the belief that a lighter skin color makes a woman more attractive or that it is a ticket to a better life. I do not support the notion that anything far from white is ugly. I hate when dark skin is degraded. More dark skin women and fewer light skin women should be celebrated in the media. You are correct. One would think BET would be a refuge from all this white proproganda. Its funny to see a black drama or anything serious on bet and then the next minute see a Victoria Secret commercial parading white women. I'm like "this is BLACK Entertainment Televison?" It's a joke. There are some programming of value like the Soul Theater plays shown on some Sundays but they are not many black programming of value on BET unfortunately.

Its a shame. One would think BET would be an "oasis" for black people to view and see programs promoting and uplifting us. I would love to see drama, comedy, documentaries, fashion, shows for teens, parents etc, not just African American but shows focusing on black people within the black diaspora. Something that at the end of the day, we could look at and just see blacks..I'm tired of seeing the majority ALL the time. There was a black family channel I heard which no longer exists..shame.
