Fantastic. I always feel a bit sorry for viola players as the violin and cello get most of the glamour and attention. In pieces like this though the viola has a chance to come into its own.
I've been listening to classical for several years, now, but I never listened to this. I haven't listened to any string quartets, really. By listening to this I think I just found one of my favorite pieces of music...well, ever. Gorgeous.
At the end of the day, these guys are probably the best quartet right now. Their taste, spirit, class, and most important their commitment to the music is unparalleled. I love how they each have an individual voice, color, and character, in addition to being unified and blended.
Well, of my beloved professor Daniel Phillips I can only say he's one of the best musicians I've ever met. The first time I ever heard this quartet I recall being completely distracted from the instruments, only aware of the music...
I love the Orion Quartet! I had the pleasure of working with them in a masterclass at my university, years ago, and of course hearing them live in concert a few times...They just have a way of playing the music that makes it sound like it is completely new a different. They make it look so easy! I try my best to emulate this quality whenever possible.
Absolutely fabulous, wonderful to watch! If I was there I would be in tears and clapping most enthusiastically. The Rasumovskys are the most exciting music.
Beethoven's coda never failed to inspire me once again

Perfectly played. I can only wish to be as good(violin). Six years and still can't play as well as I should.
