Also to make it easier to legitimately defeat him, farm the malboro's for ribbons, get the Best armors from the shop/random floors and obviously have everyone's trial completed. Best Armors are

Kain: Dragoon Plate random treasure on floor

Cecil: Caesar's Plate random treasure

Porom: Tabby Suit bought 520000

Polom: Chocobo Suit bought 500000

Edge: Assassin's vest bought

Rosa: White Dress random Treasure

Cid: Maximilian Bought

Yang: Battle Gear bought

This guy was too easy. Some superboss he was. What made it easier is I used one of the Lunar Summon items. It dealt zero damage, but it turned him into a toad. Another one mini'd him. They should've made him more of a challenge. Even the original Zeromus was harder.

I don't understand how you get to this boss, you have to complete all the trials right? But they are only unlocked by killing Zeromus with certain characters, how can you do that if you can only kill Zeromus once at the end of the game? If you ask me all bonus dungeons on all Final Fantasy's are just utter crap. The only reason I do them is for the bestiary entries, not because they're fun because frankly they're just not... they're just a pain to complete.

@lKopal After you kill Zeromus, wait through the ending and it'll let you save a clear file. Load that, then you can access the Lunar Ruins (I think it's called) from the moon's world map somewhere, the entrance looks like a face on the ground.

Also I'm fairly certain you don't have to complete all the trials in the dungeon to fight Zeromus EG. I believe you just need to reach the 50th floor. The trials are only to get characters' strongest weapons IIRC

Ah thank you. I just realised, I thought you could only kill Zeromus once and not unlock all trials on one save game. But you can kill him as meany times as you want. It's the same with Zeromus EG, you don't have to finish all the trials to fight Zeromus EG. I killed him three times now =) I found him quite easy. Now my bestiary is complete. Awesome.

@lKopal Also, no, you don't have to kill Zeromus with any particular characters to unlock their trials in the dungeon. You just have to bring the character to the dungeon, and when you get to the floor their trial is on, you can enter it so long as they're with you

Its only in Gameboy Advance release and is a superboss, ergo much more powerful than the final boss, Zermous. Its just to provide sport to those players who werent satisfied with the final boss.

@PearlJammer07 - both FFA and FFO have a good game and a bad game--FF4 actually has a pretty good/hard version in its PS1 version, but the accompanying Chrono Trigger is its absolute worst form--horrible loading issues. Same with FFA--FF5 made the transition pretty much in-tact (translation kinda sucks), while FF6 is the SNES version of 3, plagued with similarly horrible loading times/completely busted sound effects. I'd emulate personally.

@poiwarren try him without gaining any levels :). I had to win the whole fight by constantly keeping Kain Wall-ed, and I had to time-jump every MegaFlare. Not to mention every single final equip is in a monster-trapped chest, so none of those :) Whole party was between Level 24 and Level 29 (Edge) and all but Jump-ing Kain got one-shotted. Battle was like 7 minutes of terror.

Three Grimoires have effects on him, other than damage. LD inflicts Toad, LL inflicts Slow, LT inflicts Mini.
