  • When I worked crash/rescue back in the early 80's the 727's were still going strong. Awesome plane. The 737's were just begining to edge them out of the top spot for many airlines.

  • LAB = Loyd Aereo Boliviano ! :D

  • Som semelhante ao 707 da fab tambem na com os motores pratt whitney

  • I wish they still made that sound! That's what a real plane sounds like!

  • goddamn....listen to that power...jet engines don't sound like that anymore I'll tell you that much

  • its funny how im wtching this video at 7:27 PM

  • Low speed or flaps too up for this rotate i thing.

  • @jendoslavek nope the 727 works with short take off and landing so its not slow it catches speed quickly

  • @ghettoperson257 Not sure, but at least its not quick climber.

  • this 727 can sing better than Justin Bieber :D

  • @jbrian80

    So can anybody. :D

  • one of the loudest planes I've ever seen

  • Another aircraft i have use of to.

  • Look, it's coming right at you! Yet, it's not.

    Great shot!

  • Wow! I absolutely love this video! The engine noise from the takeoff is what really makes this video what it is! Sensational job!

  • wow ......that noise is terrifying ,this fucking plane too, favorited!

  • maaaad!!

  • love the sound!

  • Great Video. You never lost focus and stayed with firm hand regardless of the noise. Congrats!

  • Great study of the old three holer in action...sure do miss flying that bird, damn goodlooking old girl !!

  • Damn she's loud.

  • i live near ohare airport and i have been seeing a fedex and monfort aviation 727

  • @The73slapshot Dude I live in Rosemont & I know exactly what your talking about too :3

  • @hondacl0n3 a fedex 727 tookoff now but i forgot to record it

  • I love the smell of that smoke.

  • Sounds like the good ol' Pratt & Witney. Man I miss that plane!

  • Love the smoke!

  • Good ole airplane.

  • Loud and proud with some smoke so you can tell where he's been!

  • GENIAL EN COLOMBIA BOGOTA EN EL PARQUE SALITRE MAGICO HAY UN BOING 727 EN EXSIVICION ES LO MEJOR ES DE AVIANCA

  • Good old Lloyd Aereo Boliviano LAB

  • I used to fly on deltas, eastern, and northwest, also Northeast yellow bird 727s,damn i miss those birds, always gave great flights loved the powerful take offsif i were at the airport spotting, loved the load noise and feel the ground shake when she took off, todays jets cant compare to the 727-737 classic and DC9s

  • Nice aircraft i have one myself for private use, very cheap to run.

  • i remember these planes, im 14 now but I remember seeing the NWA 727's at MSP, memories... love the smoke, great video!

  • "nowhere near as loud as an unhushed bac 1-11!!!!!"

I agree. That little bugger of a plane, the twin-engine BAC 1-11, could wake up the dead for miles around (figuratively speaking) with its RR Spey engines in full takeoff power. Extremely deafening. The only other plane that I can think of that can match or even exceed the takeoff noise of a BAC 1-11 is the Vickers VC10. But sadly, these two are very close to retirement altogether.

I'd place the 727s just a notch below those two planes.

  • Ahhhhhh,Sweet Music.

  • FFS, that was nice.

  • Bac1-11

  • @ThePlaceAndTime no, lab 727

  • Uwielbiam startujące samoloty -jak z pęłną gracją podnoszą się do góry,ciężar ,moc no i oczywiście ryk silników coś pięknego.

  • love the trails of the exhaust!!! awesome!!!

  • nowhere near as loud as an unhushed bac 1-11!!!!!

  • 727-200 greatest sound of an airplane!

  • I never realized the horizontal stablizers are responsible for LIFTING the aircraft.

  • Maravilloso!!!

  • From the sound to the sight to the smoke! Everything about this video is great! How did you manage to get that close to the runway? Lucky you!

  • Those engines sure sound a lot the the A-10s.

  • 1:04-1:05 sounds like the the best back fire ever! Though id probably piss out of my mouth seeing it that far, awesome vid!

  • Beautiful video, thank you.

  • wunderschöner doppler-effect ^^

  • this has to be the best 727 takeoff video on youtube, everyone interested in civil aircraft knows about this video

  • @113inthemorning I am with you 100% on this one! This indeed is one of the absolute best videos of a Boeing 727 taking off that I have seen on here. The thunder of the engines as it bore down that runway before becoming airborne was simply incredible!

  • When i was going on my holidays we usually got the 727 n the engines where always underneath the wing how come in this 727-200 the enignes r underneath the tail wing? N i've seen the 727 lke this unless im n a 737! lol XD

  • @Conor3914 Yeah man, I guess you were in a 737. They both look very similar. As far as I know, all the 727s have their engines near the tail, not under the wings.

  • @JohnsonPBX Kul! Is it me r did this flight take long to take off? Unless the runway is quite long and they take there time taking off! I dunno! lol

  • @Conor3914 The airplane was close to it's MTOW. When the PF started rotating, it took a substantial amount of time for the aircraft to lift off of the runway. From the sound of the engines and the visible position of the flaps and slats, both were configured correctly for takeoff.

  • @NickGarrettIsCool u seem to no alot about planes my friend ^^! Have u any experiences with planes r are u just one those people who seem interested in planes and like to have knowlegde of what their talking about! lol Just like me! Welll i have been on a plane auite a few times going on holidays! (thats how i became soo much interested in them) lol

  • What a power.

  • I just got an orgasm LOL! :)

  • Jets are SUPPOSED to be loud

  • they use to rule the sky :(

  • is this Lloyd Aerolineas Boliviano?

  • Pratt&whitney engines??????

  • @pianomanmaestro of course!

  • @pianomanmaestro Correct. JT8D model.

  • @pianomanmaestro Pratt&Whitney JT8D, probably the -17

  • the more I watch this video the more I like it

  • Great sound and great take off

  • watch my tribute video of Boeing 727 Recommended

  • yeah, man... great sound, I am lucky enough to hear the DHL 727 taking off in Salt Lake City International airport, I saw it coming onto the runway, but had to leave for the bus, just before I got on it, the whole damn parking garage was shaking, rumbling, vibrating through me.. holy shit, I would love to go through that again and again.

  • For me, I never get tired of watching that 'magical moment' of lift off. I will always be in awe.

  • What a lovely looking aircraft! Proper sound and look

  • It sound very loud I remember.

  • This is what airliners SHOULD sound like!!

Modern planes sounds like vacumm cleaners on takeoff!

  • Now this...this is what I'm talking about! The best sound I have ever heard from a commercial airplane. Sounds almost military like. Beautiful.

  • i just wanna know how come when the 727 takes off, it always looks like its about to strike the tail? but the Tupolev Tu-154, which looks very similar to the 727, doesn't? its crazy!

  • I loved the sounds 1:06 - 1:15

    I LOVE this BIRD!!

  • @Xiomara727 looks like a guttural death metal vocals...!

  • @Xiomara727 me too sounds so cool

  • OMG! that bird just roared right past the camera!

  • With this mechanical steering plane you really enjoy the flight, not so today. Is the operating system some kinda windows or has the trial expired ? LOL

  • Comment removed

  • I love the 727,I could near an airport and hearing jets engines all the time would be relaxing to me,soothing enough to make me sleep well.

  • @MrMegaFredzeppelin yeah and soon you would get sick of it!

  • @ghettoperson257 NOT ME,HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!!!!!!

  • THE MUSIC OF THE JT8D ENGINES, although tje 727 is an old airplane, its 1 of the best airplanes, and have the most beautiful sound of engines

  • I love the sound of this baby; one of my favorite planes!

  • Love it! There will never be another like her

  • *****BOWS TO THE MIGHTY 727 w/JT8-D Powerhouses*****

  • crap! how long was the rotation!!??

    thats a heavy plane

  • I always thought she looked so beautiful!

  • Thats how a jet should sound. With these newer aircraft (although I have to admit that some of them are pretty cool) whats the point of being a several hundred ton powerhouse if you're not gonna shout about it?

  • looked heavy......

  • BAC 1-11s with its Rolls Royce Spey engines in full throttle are noisier than the 727s.

I know because I used to live under the flight path of those little twin-engine planes. Those planes sound like jet fighters when taking off.

  • Where is this?

  • @ismangeloso santa cruz bolivia

  • @ismangeloso santa cruz, bolivia

  • Sweet. I and my fellow students used to watch them takeoff from the Daytona Beach airport when I attended Embry-Riddle back in 1981. Nothing else like them!

  • The polyphonic music of the JT8D, how I miss it. I'll also never forget my first flight as it was aboard a 727.

  • Totally awesome sound on takeoff! You are to be commended for this fantastic video! Of all the planes I have flown on, the Boeing 727 is the only one I haven't flown on. I hope I get the opportunity this August when I fly on American Airlines this August when I go to Atlanta,G.A.

  • @kenpalmer1965 The 727 has been discontinued, unfortunately.

  • Cargo plane

  • @Nat2370 it wasnt a cargo plane

  • @luigiboy82 oops sorry, wrong see

  • Fantastic! LABs 727s sound the way jets should.

  • I miss the drama you used get with 727's at an airport. You would hear an impossibly load roar, and see nothing, wondering what mysterious entity had gone up in the sky. If you were lucky you might have seen a trail of black smoke gushing out of the back of a faraway dot high in the heavens, with the echoing roar spilling all around you. The sound at this point was so non-directional and spread out that it didn't even seem to be originating from the aircraft at all. It added to the mystique.

  • GOD THATS LOUD, GLAD I HAVEN'T BEEN ON ONE OF THEM

  • I have 5000+ Hrs. in the three holer. Out of all the planes I am type rated on, the 727 is still my favorite

  • What a great aircraft.

  • vroomba03 why is the 727 louder than most other jets?

    ============================================================

    It's a Stage 2 aircraft.

The technology for quieter engines just wasn't there when 727s were built in the '60's.

You think 727s are the loudest?? Try watching up close the BAC 1-11 take off.

But sadly though, tighter noise restrictions have forced most BAC 1-11s to retire from service.

  • @louthesz9 cant forget about the 737-200 got to love there take offs

  • why is the 727 louder than most other jets?

  • @vroomba03 the engine makes it louder. besides, it's an old airplane

  • The 727 is one of if not the loudest aircraft to fly on.

  • @pcorf Commercial probably the loudest, but try flying in C-5's or C-141's. Those were known as tubes of pain.

  • Love it! The sound is awesome, rapid pan camera man did it just right and 727's are beautiful. Thanks!

  • While I was a flight attendant some years back I flew on 727, 200 series, a lot, the pilots that flew this bird always called it that,

  • Ahhhh..... the lead sled, as I used to hear it refered to. What a beautiful sound!!!

  • Not really a "led sled". Actually it's really good at short field take off and landing. Kinda what it was made to do.

  • @vembermember I heard the Lead sled was the F-4

  • @vembermember Lead Sled is a 207, the 727 was "Miss Piggy", but most left in service now have -17s or -217s (outboard only) so they might as well be "Personal Rocket Ships".

  • @vembermember yeah, it is - loud and beautiful.

  • great study of the old girl on the roll....I will always miss flying that bird still as sexy as it was in 1963

  • WOW nice sound !!!!!!!

  • Wonderful Boeing 727! The major aircraft and the best of the best crews! Long life B727!

  • best take off video ever, that sound i think it broke my speakers! love the 727`s!

  • This 727 sounds a lot better than other ones

  • Ahhh the 727. Its mean and lean. and loud!! Sure miss flying on them. Best plane ever made.

  • The best boeing 727 takeoff i have ever seen
