I love Harry Potter for the story but Lord of the Rings has such an immersive world so I think I like Lord of The Rings better but I do enjoy them both
I have to say that I think I enjoyed Harry Potter more because of the relate-ability of the series, because I grew up with the characters. However, I do think that LOTR has great literary merit and is truly a work and classic which stood out in its time.
