@MintyModF1 Not dangerous and not lost the plot, it's only dangerous if you panic and get stuck...

Yes, it's Widnes West Bank. The mud isn't all that deep there but just a little upstream is a lovely deep pool of liquid mud that you can lie down in up to your neck. Great in Speedos, and much safer too as if in swim kit you actually float in the mud.

It was certainly knee deep where we were, and this was close to the shore. Probably deeper further out...
