It is my and your duty to ignite that love within those who do not love Holy Prophet S.A.W. because of our negligence in not portraying real Islam to mankind. @povava05 .. off course Quran says that, how can it ignore blasphemy of Prophet PBUH, it very clearly says that such perpetrators will be burned in hell fire (Surat al Ahzab, V 57,, Surat Al Tobah, V 63).. the question is does it advocate death punishment for blasphemy?.. answer is No, on the other hand it defines very clear punishments for theft, murder, rape, false witness etc etc, thats where imam Bu Hanifa differs from current laws of pakistan penal code on blasphemy :))

@parshiwal887 Quran doest advocate the captial punishment for blashphemy.... however Sunnah of Prophet S.A.W does advocate this.. and i have quoted the incident of Mecca conquest and Shahaba also followed the same sunnah... after Prophet S.A.W death... Salahudin ayubi did the same thing and there are plenty of incidents even iqbal (may Allah please with him) attended the funeral of ghazi ilmudin and Jinnah (may Allah please with him) was his lawyer

Quran does not directly say on this issue but this punishment it proven from Hadeth, sahabas and history.. there are many areas like Imam mehdi, return of caliphate, return of Issa, some signs (major, mionor) which you cant find in Quran

@povava05 . i saw the clip, its all about historical references and ahadith (there are conflicting ahadith, pardoning such people too, tayef events for instance), but i have a feel Quran directly addresses this issue 'to ignore' such people rather than 'kill' them. have you read Surat-Al-Munafiqoon?.

as for ahadith, there is conflicting ahadiths on this issue (and i seriously believe some of them are weak ahadith).. in such case i will off course go for ahadith which matches Quran's message :)
