I really enjoy the minimal direction there is. Nice to see a group that is in tune with each other enough to sing with one musical mind. Pitch drifts south, especially in the benedictus, but understandable. Tone, phrasing, diction, all fantastic.
Awesome to see this kind of music from Mennonites. Singing is alive and well among the Mennonites. I'm a huge Chanticleer fan and you guys are right up there.
WOW OMG... Y'all are FREAKING AMAZING... BEAUTIFUL VOICES... If I were in the Filming business, all of you would DEFINALLY be in a movie/show! Good job ALL OF YOU!!! KEEP SINGING!
You listen to one another , able to read the accustics of your surroundings while watching each other and can manipulate the voice to grasp the best sound.
It dosen't matter if your singing Tallis, Byrd, Palestrina etc
The music is so well writing that it needs the finest of everything to bring out a true uplifting piece.
You guys should definately come up with a CD. You could be a great financial asset to your college, especially the music program. You would definately draw a following with a tour. You would sound great in Duke Chapel at Duke University.
Excellent job! I love Palestrina...I direct a junior high choir and we performed "Adoramus Te" a few years ago for competition. Keep up the great work!
OMG. This brings tears to my eyes. Awesome. Palestrina is very difficult. Y'all do it justice. Thanks for keeping this inspiring talent alive. more...more...more!
Outstanding performance--practice, whatever you want to call it. I would love to know where these guys are based. From one skinny "double-bass" to another--KUDOS!
Perhaps if I had read a little more, I would have found where they're from. Goshen College, Goshen, Indiana, an Anabaptist-Mennonite private Christian College. Kudos to them.
they are saying the sanctus and benedictus...its part of the roman catholic mass. the words are
"holy, holy, holy lord, God of power and might. Heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest, blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord, hosanna in the highest"
I wish I were in a vocal ensemble... I singing in a trio with my friends, but that's just rubbish - we sing mainly stuff by Byrd. But i love all the stuff you guys have done. What's the arrangement; Alt, T, Bar, Bass?
There needs to be a movie about this school, this teacher and these kids ... (oh, yes, and the music, and the God it glorifies).

A Mennonite quartet -- 4 wonderful young
men -- sang at my 14-year-old nephew's
funeral. I'll never forget it. I'm so
grateful to them for the beautiful music.
