  • Reminds me ... must take my stuff down the dump

  • Powerful and imaginative. The loneliness can be felt, and the viewer is left to their own imagination how the destruction occurred. Might even be more effective if the wood base were black too...

  • WOW!!! its seriously like a physical representation of the state of our union. they should put this on the podium at the next state of the union address.

  • this thing looks freaky :P

  • EVIL!

  • OMFG it tokk me like 3 minutes to realize its a tattered umbrella hitting glass and not one of those million-dollar balancing sculpture things. xD

  • Perfect.

  • not bad, could have considered the rate of revolutions more of the top and bottom spinners in relation to each other better, to perhaps have created a neater sound, perhaps running on a serial theme, varying by note order? maybe next time.

  • This original work makes me think of

    1- An umbrella

2- An entry of old store or a kind of sound of coins

    3- Sound events pseudo-random

With regard to this third part outward journey to see and hear:

    Youtube (Search) :

THE FIRST VIRTUAL REAL MUSIC TO COMPOSE

It there will not have is an umbrella but significant?

    JCA

  • great work. I am strangely attracted to this piece. I cannot briefly explain everything beautiful and disturbing about it. it looks like something that would be in the myst series or a tim burton project. I love it!

  • Tweaker sculpture

  • To anyone who just doesn't get it, or, discounts this as a work of art(really a fine tour de force of many disciplines at play, so, bravo to the artist), go smoke a fine joint, and loosen up a little. You are way too aesthetically rigid!

  • Bah Bah black sheep...But it dont BAH no more cuz i killed it!

  • ok. that looks and sounds creepy o.0

  • i agree

  • I think a disquieting feeling might not be too far off the mark, at least as the artist intended.

  • Really X.x

  • totally

  • I love this. Keep doing art like this...it's beautiful

  • how the hell do they do this i wnt to know!

  • have you tried glue?

  • Really really cool!

  • wicked cool.

  • rofl... Thats the most emo thing I've ever seen..

  • someone got bored

  • Early American Dumpster Art.

  • Whats even worse than that piece of crap is the fuckin idiot dumb enough to buy that!

  • Whats worse than that is the peice of shit that leaves terribly written comments on a video he did not even have to watch.

  • ur the guy

  • u faggot thats not art. stop wasting precious metal and overcrowding this plante. as if you know anything bout art. go kill yourself.

  • The bag lady society called.....they want their umbrella back!

  • omg u must be sick of doing that xD I'm sure that was made by monkeys xD

  • its kinda creepy D: if i walked in a room and hear those noises and it was dark and there was a lil child in there i would be like OMGAWD *shits pants*

  • so... when are you going to throw it away?

  • this is the definition of emo

black broken unbrella, broken glass, soft chilling music/sounds

    lol

    its still pretty cool

  • Somehow this makes me sad...

  • its a peice of crap

not even worth ranting on how much of a peice of crap it is

  • dont worry ur not missing much

it would have taken skill to build a kinetic sculpture using the

  • amazing how you can just put something together and it becomes so beautiful-didnt here the chimes sorry volume was off but it is gr8

  • it sucked....if you had heard it......a fyew chimes like every 5 sec......

  • Wow, i just want to kick that ugly piece of shit over.

  • bloody hell thats ugly, and thats not music its random sound created by one bit of trash hitting another.

  • that was deep man......lol

  • To the people that say this takes no skill, you are unimaginitive and dont understand the purpose of sculptures like this. It makes me picture a destroyed world, which is empty and lonely. It was once beautiful but now its empty and deserted. The ripped umbrella and shattered glass give that off, adn also the slow single chimes make it seem very empty. Its a great piece of art.

  • @mccarthy211 *total fagot*

  • @mccarthy211 seems too easy to make art...

  • acutually nobody has the right to criticize because I dont think anyone who does can do any better so shut up. It was a nice piece of art.

  • lmao.

  • the saddest merry-go-round in the world. lol, no, but seriously, I enjoyed it a lot. Keep up the good work, and maybe one day your unique and inspired artwork will be prominently displayed somewhere!

  • very poetic

  • i think its pretty good for a mere child to have made it, i mean, most little kids couldn't do that

  • Ah! Didn't know that. Pretty well done I guess!

  • very different and kind of creepy, which is right up my alley. Love the use of scrap things people throw away: bike chain, busted umbrella, broken mirror and broken chime. looks like something you would see in a horror film just sitting there, awesome job!

  • is it still a kinetic sculpture if it has to be powered? :/

  • What are you, thick as well as ugly?

  • Right or wrong, those who can't take criticism should not post on youtube. Sorry, jujubean163163163163, but let the creator fight her own battles.

  • what are you talking about generator? the sound is made by the metal striking the mirror. do you mean the generator as in the thing making the mirrors rotate?

and i dont think that falls under the 'sculpture' category since it requires flowing electricity.

  • It is a kinetic sculpture. Kinetic means that it moves, kinetic art can be electric, or motor run, in this case it is a motor

  • Wow. Kudos to the creator. The broken umbrella sends a message, to me anyways, of sadness and the notes that are played by the generator are filled with held back melencholy.

By far one of the best pieces of art I've seen.

    Kudos

  • Random song generator. For the win.

  • i think its nice, peaceful and creative. keep it up

  • creepy

  • i actually thought it was quite beautiful. use of the different shapes of broken glass to create different tones was great. also using the broken umbrella kind of gave it a wayward kind of feel. idk its just pretty cool

  • umm wtf is that , btw bestest?!

  • look, my daughter was 13 when she made this, come on guys, don't be ass holes about it, if your going to say something mean, please don't, she pretends she doesn't care, but she does.its just insipid and wrong to tell a child her art work sucks, so don't.

  • sorry for this, please ignore.

  • you are an ass. my best friend made this right after she got out of the hospital after a huge accident and a shit load of surgery. she was 13 when she made it, so go be an dick head idiot ass hole somewhere else.

  • You should probably put this information in the information section. Especially if you are going to be upset at the comments made by random tubers. You're swearing at people, but how could anyone know this?

  • ignore this, it's rediculous. (how do you spell rediculous?)

  • this was made by a 13 year old girl, not an adult, her father is an artist, but did not help her, she did it all by herself.

    Enjoy!

  • I love art but this just reminds me of a broken umbrella after a storm with debris on it.

  • Calder + Duchamp

  • bestest most awsome video ever!!!

  • This is the most awsome video ever
