  • Cool. I could do with buying one of these. But how do i eliminate my own voice transmitting back to me? Someone explain.

  • @mrchris86c Cannot skip specific emitter, receiving repeater is to receive all it re-tx , including yyourself

  • Is their no piece of equipment I can use to increase my broadcast range without having to receive my own transmissions cos I would find it so annoying to hear my own voice twice.

  • @readiorepeater image it like this...

    You...........................repeater...........................me

You send a message out and since I am to far away to receive it, however the repeater is close enough so the repeaters the message and since I am in range of the repeater, I get your message. However since your in range of the repeater, the repeater sends it back to you as well.

  • @mrchris86c you could plug the input to the channel you are transmitting on on one radio and have another radio set to a different frequency for the repeater to transmit from.

  • Interessantissimo, ma dove lo posso acquistare???

  • you should announce your call sign at the beginning of every transmission. Its as easy as saying 1,2, 3. or dont you have one?

  • @toutlemond I don't have a call sign, however I used to take my buddies into dads ham shack as a teen, and we would sit in rural South Dakota and prank folks in Florida etc...this was before the internet...good clean wholesome fun...
