Is their no piece of equipment I can use to increase my broadcast range without having to receive my own transmissions cos I would find it so annoying to hear my own voice twice.
You send a message out and since I am to far away to receive it, however the repeater is close enough so the repeaters the message and since I am in range of the repeater, I get your message. However since your in range of the repeater, the repeater sends it back to you as well.

@mrchris86c you could plug the input to the channel you are transmitting on on one radio and have another radio set to a different frequency for the repeater to transmit from.
@toutlemond I don't have a call sign, however I used to take my buddies into dads ham shack as a teen, and we would sit in rural South Dakota and prank folks in Florida etc...this was before the internet...good clean wholesome fun...
I didn't understand a word of what he said but one of his radios is a ham radio...I have one just like it. It's a chinese make, real good little radio too. Puxing. I love mine.

ham radio is ham radio, no difference bet. OM and not; I'm still licensed om since 1977, but I still love experiments and to buy nice devices, even in free bands.,
Try to rispect all radio enthusiasts, they never jam others.

@mrchris86c Cannot skip specific emitter, receiving repeater is to receive all it re-tx , including yyourself
