Oregon Coast Aquarium: Swimming with Sharks

Is the striped stick to keep the sharks away? It has a similar pattern to a sea snake, which some sharks know to stay away although their eyesight isn't that good..

@suretobringskills Yes, the striped sticks are to keep the sharks away. I'm not sure about why they are striped, other than they are more easily seen by the sharks that way. I never heard from the divers that they were specifically meant to imitate sea snakes, but it's a good thought.
