I see parkour as a way to unlock the human body's full athletic potential, and also a test of determination and guts. And he's right, all those annoying little thoughts will keep you from reaching your full potential, you don't think other creatures have to go through all of those things? They do, but they have to suck it up to survive, we have become a weak species, and that is not acceptable! Parkour has shown us what we can be, let's try to exceed even that!
this documentary inspired me..i always wanted to learn parkour, but i always got demoralized because i`m alone in this and i live in a small town so i don`t have where to do all of this things. but this documentary made me want to live my dream so i will get over all the obstacles.thank you very much for showing me that i shouldn`t give up no mater what.
Thanks alot for the thumbs up guys :) (ashamed) - After the winter came i began playing rs again.. Now, I'm slowly BUT surely starting parkour again, but now i've decided to freerun. I have started going to the gymnastic hall and im enjoying it!
I think this video has to be show in schools to inspire young people... I mean to inspire them in life not only in parkour.
I think parkour is like ordinary life, getting through obstacles, finding better ways to deal with things, maintaining your physical and mental strength and the most important thing to stand up and try again if u fall, in life or in whatever you are trying to do....
Thanks Florin for this great video, keep up the good work!
Very, very, very inspiring. Out of every video i`ve ever seen in my entire life i`ve never seen one as spectacularly inspiring, amazing, and just purely extraordinary. thank you, thank you very much for these 20 minutes I used to watch these videos. Thank you.
thanks a lot man....i had kind of let my training fade out a bit at recent and have held off of learning new things but this has inspired me to step up with my training.
Un documentar superb. M-ai luminat in foarte multe chestii. Doar 2 intrebari: 1. Cu ce program l-ai editat. 2. Cum ai pus 2 imagini imtruna? Adica chiar la inceput.
i cannot wait to do parkour i have been wheelchair bound for the last three months and this documentary has inspired me to do the rehab and fight through the pain to get back to the streets to go back to parkour. Thanks florin you've inspired a 13 year old to run again
This made me wanna do something with my life. i paused part 1 at 6 minutes and went out and ran and ran til i couldnt go any further, fell down, gathered my power and ran as fast as i possibly could back!! im 13 and a bit fat but im able to go the distance and i will. thank you Florin for saving my life, from the computer and from Runescape.
Ha i know ppl who spend so much time on that and can't friend what to do with their lives at the age of 18. thats sad right. good for you for getting out!
@d3dma1n bro i do pass, it is recommended that you do at least 3 - 4 days of physical FITNESS (not activity) and have one rest day if you are doing a full week worth of exercise. omg f*** it, too much crap for you to learn :\
@d3dma1n When i was 11 i was addicted in games... maplestory, the duel, i still remember myself playing all the day long... i used to stay 10 hours or more in those games. then i discovered parkour, yes i train alone, and sometimes i hurt myself, but it doesent matter, to do the things that you want to do, you have to believe on yourself. Peace.
i am a pro freerunner one time i had to run away from some idiots so i used big house roofs i was wery fast and ididnt see how big space there is from house to house it was some 15meters but i made it it was hard but i was happy about my self :)
Im new to Parkour and free running and your movie was one of the first I watched on it, you helped me to understand the physical and mental aspects in it. Thanks for inspireing me:)
personally i think it's about time we did away with the whole silly conflict between freerunning and parkour. i dont know anybody who hasn't trained both ways and ive spoken to a couple who didn't even know there was a difference!
there are merits to both sides but at the end of the day they are, in fact, still two sides of the same coin. even UF almost always pronounces them in the same breath whenever they talk about it. why don't we just come up with a name for the entire discipline already?
@skootz24 U mean something like 1 discipline that people will refer to it as but with like both oarkour AND free running making that?? like tai chi? that's a good idea.
@programaster exactly. just a name for the discipline as a whole. to use a rather poor analogy, it would be like drag racing and drifting. you are doing something different but still driving an expensive car. we can keep the names of both while acknowledging that they exist in the same family. only problem is what that name would be...
@skootz24 I think free running would probably suffice, it's already quite well known, and the entire idea would be for people who understand less about it, and seeing as they7 recognise it more and it's more of an obvious word... most people think that parkour IS free running anyway.
These disciplines are designed to improve ourselves, to become more adapted to survival, as a skill. Not as a means of showing off what we can do. That's what David Belle taught us, and everyone with an interest in either movement should abide to that.
This guy has the exact same attitude as myself to this discipline; I can't stand people that decide to practice it because they think it looks cool. It's about a lot more than trying to impress someone or looking good. Yes, freerunnng concentrates on the aesthetics of movement, but as a whole, both disciplines are about overcoming obstacles, and preparing ourselves to overcome such obstacles, patiently an to our ability.
i just started parcour a few day ago, and this vidio motivatet me again, and more than ever before. i got sad, whil i was waching it, and i am really amazed how good you (that guy, whatever...-.-) is, and how long you had to practice to do all of that. i really like this video, thanks for putting so amazing stuff on youtube
@faquiado as i said, i just started, and i looked it up, and everyone said something different, some said parCour, and some said parKour, and now i know, that it is parkour...thanks anyways!
I will practice even harder now. This is definitely the most inspirational and understanding movie I've seen. Also, I like the exercises you've told us to practice (skipping and so on) and how you say "I know I've been successful when my hands are blistered". And that's how I feel these last few days/weeks and it feels great. I've been doing Parkour for 4 months now. Thank you ;)
@flyingFRsteve why not man try to tell them that you start small you dont start doing big things. you start at ground level and as you get better you do harder more mentally things. parkour is a way of life your going to get hert but you keep going. once you become a traicer you never stop thinking about different ways to move

This video rly motivated me to go further and further... i rly enjoyed this 20 minutes of video it really describe parkour like it is...Some times i give up on some obstacles but if u have motivation u should try harder and harder... this video should motivate many people, ill recomend this video to some people...
i understand your msg and completely agree with it. most people rush into something or shoot for the big things instead of waiting, and training until theyre ready for whatever challenge they happen to be faced with
The most inspiring movie I seen!!! Really, it's great. I love your style, and the adult way of seeing and training Parkour. 5 stars mate and keep it up.
I did parkur until 10 weeks ago, when I broke both wrists because of haste. Here I saw a confirmation of what my thoughts now are. Patience helps you through everything. I started training with weights and such 3 days ago, maybe I'll start training again in a week or 2, just letting my wrists heal first ^^.
And could anyone give the background music at 07:39 please? it's calming.
Parkour has given me many injuries, but as I said before, patience is the key.
Great work! :) are wery interrsted of knowing the name of the song (piano melody) in the later part of the video? :) anyone that know?

just a tip dont be patient for too long or youll get cold muscles and need to warmup again
laorjlse 2 years ago
what i was saying it was that you need patience in time...if you can't do it today...try it tomorrow...or when you're ready
skypici 2 years ago
.... (-_-)" i was only kidding
i understand your msg and completely agree with it. most people rush into something or shoot for the big things instead of waiting, and training until theyre ready for whatever challenge they happen to be faced with

for what looks and sounds like a kid barely older than me, you have a very good outlook on life/parkour. great video well done

Parkour has given me many injuries, but as I said before, patience is the key.
skypici well done!
