@Cheshu1, The weakness of a particular individual is not the weakness of the institution, also in that day and age it wasn't just Mormons it was all of America that was racist, If you are fairly knowledgeable on Mormon religion look in the book of Mormon and you will see there's no segregation based on race, only beliefs! At that day and age that idea was radical and few had the integrity to implement it and those that did were often killed. Look at Cain! Alas the 400 character limit...
