  • Why do people always got to be daredevil.. You don't see me on the freeway trying to spin my car around, and then try to correct it to go straight..

  • Why on earth would he try that at that low altitude?

  • @MetalGods that's what I was wondering.

  • довыебывался

  • lol preesurize the engine and this wont happe

  • erm i can bend to your needs

  • he must have thought he was doing 3d with a trex 450

    a helicopter is not a toy ^_^

  • Woo!

  • so sharing fantasies

  • SINK RATE SINK RATE, PULL UP

  • Look at the guy running lol 

  • i found this difficult to masturbate to

  • He walked away from that? Gee, I think he can buy a lottery ticket! -Daz in Oz.

  • poor schweizer o.o

  • did he die?

  • let me guess ,you fly rc helicopters

  • did anyone called 911?

  • @melvin1622 nope 912

  • 911 911 911 911 911

  • Call 911?

  • He walked away without a scratch, however his ego was heavily bruised.

  • what was that number again?

  • Call 911, Call 911.

    What's the number???

  • no I wont stfu as you may not rearlise you can have 100% throttle and set in the midway postition with the collective and still ajust the height without having to move the collective bet you didnt know that no wait you already did know that or did you MrQTIP56 are you a fsx pilot and never flown a real helo umm.

  • 911, 911, 911, 911. Keep repeating it but dont dial it.

  • there was a documentry about this crash and it was also due to the weather that was due to the crash as well and all those who call him a noob I'd like to see you perform this feat in a huges 269 go one bet you cant whos the noob now.

  • @SkunkapeProductions Your the noob for trying to defend this idiot. He clearly didnt have the working height to perform a full loop and whats the deal? is he a stunt pilot? was he there to perform stunts or was he too full of his own shit in front of the crowds. I would have his licence revoked because we dont need shit like this in the industry.I would make show just cause as to why we should keep him and his reckless unsafe behaviour.

  • right up there with "ghostriding the whip"

  • walked away with scratches maybe a broken finger, and a very sore ego. He was performing at an airshow, at low altitude. the margin for error is great.

  • @coyoteII at low altitude the margin for error is NARROW

  • do it again do it again

  • FYI: The crash is at 2:12.

  • Quick hit the health cheat NOOB.

  • I was there that day, the density altitude was close to 8500, Everyone was telling Dennis to mellow his routine because of that. He didnt

  • @coyoteII Did he survive this?

  • Thumbs up If you started singing I belive I can fly? In your head of course.

  • I wonder how many people actually dialed 911 after that crash.

  • maybe they should have focused all of their attention on praying instead of calling 911, that normally works faster, right?

  • Not all healictopers are EMS helicopters. Those those gont have gurneys, paramedics, insurance to transfer patiens, nor would they be allows to land at a hospital. Lawyers screw us once again.

  • Why do they want to call 911? Surely it would be quicker to bundle him into one of those other helicopters there, and fly him to hospital themselves...

  • "..911.. keep praying... 911.." ?!? People say the weirdest things!

Anyway, it's good to hear that the pilot was not hurt...

  • thought he was in an apache, maybe he had a flashback, the ego has landed, lucky man....

  • from 1:05 t0 1:45 the helicopter saw a huge bee and tried to get away from it =D

  • Comment removed

  • Dennis did not die thankfully, he is still writing and flying.

Despite being at a high density altitude the aircraft seemed to respond normally.

Dennis let his brain overule the maths and changed from his prepared routine.

  • 2:15 911! 911! 911!

  • @thunderfoot43 WAIT WHATS THE NUMBER TO 911!?

  • @secretpolice I DON'T KNOW!!!!! 911 IS LIKE THE MOST IMPORTANT NUMBER SEQUENCE IN THE WORLD, YET I DIDN'T LEARN IT IN SCHOOL!!!! D:

  • skip 2:10

  • what the hell?

  • Awesome performance until that last part. Glad he's OK!

  • I tried doing this in Battlefield Vietnam. I got the same result.

  • 911, what wait that's the number? 911, 9 what? 911, huh?, 911, 911, oh 911.

  • rofl... i wish hes not badly injured cuz i wana see him do it again

  • @carbine51 Undhurt he was. Read the description.

  • 911 911 911 911 911

  • 912?

  • @imorsm I lol'd

  • @imorsm 911?,911,911?,911!!

  • did he die?

  • Altitude was his friend

  • well i watched a redbull heli do this.. and he was about 300+ ft off the ground when he did this.. not 50...

  • Feeling ETL backwards must be... unnerving.

  • DID HE DIE?

  • 1:35.... I'm flyin backwards... how do you stop flying backwards??????. ARghhhh

  • Lucky mate: What a way to go out!!! U went out in a cloud of dust...Glad you came out OK buddy... I have been flying 30 years now and so far so good, no Accidents or incidents. Never say never.....My number one priority is and and has always been SAFETY first. By the way I learned to fly on the very same helicopter (TH-55 / Sweitzer 300 (spelling))

    Dustoff85

  • what was that number again nine one what?

  • wooops

  • 911 911

  • Air U-Turn

  • what's the number again?

  • did the pilot survive?

  • 911 ,911. help him !!

  • I believe a bit more altitude would have been the ticket. Who in the hell tries to loop a helicopter when he is about 200ft above the ground? SPLAT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bigman55434

Wasn't a loop, just looks like one from where the cameraman was placed. Its called a stall turn, pull nose up, when airspeed drops to a low enough number (10 - 30 kts), give it a bootfull of rudder using the natural torque also, and then in the descent, pull out. I just believe he was a bit too low at the start of the manouvre, didnt get to safe "gate" height at the apex, and pulled a little too hard to try and save it on the run out. Some skillfull flying until then though.

  • Hold my beer, watch this $hit!

  • I thought Howlin' Mad Murdock must still be flyin' yaaaahoooo!

  • Damn that's some nice flying. Besides the crash ofcourse.

  • Whatever you are piloting, it's a good rule of thumb to avoid running out or 'air'.

  • @hamiltonrrw

    What's a CG

  • -Hello, AceRentals? -it's me ol'DennisKenyon, -been flying choppers for a 1/2-century now since age-27, this morning rented couple of shiny new Schweizer/300-CBi Copters from you? --Ah well, you can come get one of'em now; yep sitting right here keys still in it, --BTW, did i check the insurance-box? -Oh good! --No no, i'm just fine, but it needs some work, --maybe bring along a 'dust-pan & broom'...!!! And now to my loyal Fans standing in the bleachers, jaws agape, --for my next trick....

  • Got a bit cocky didn't we Dennis?.........gnome

  • Those rubber bands are flapping!!!

  • How many times did people say "911" after the crash?

  • @Snipe4261 Like the Seagulls from "Finding Nemo"... 'mine... mine.. MINE!.. mine'.

  • give us your address il send you a useful bit of kit its called an altimeter

  • he prob got sick of being rich

  • Oh shit, that looks serious. Did the man survive?

  • @GreenDziwak He walked away unhurt!

  • hahah can you say hamerhead stall fail!!!!

  • that chopper is not certified to do a loop !!!!

  • oh and by the way.....911!

  • lol i was going to riht that 911 911 911 911 911 9119 911 91 991 919 19191 19 1991 91 911919919911991191191191191191991919199191919

  • "Hey Yall! Watch this!"

  • Actual titled content occurs 15 seconds before the end of a 2.5 minute video.

  • @unclesara hmmm...sometimes I would agree but there is some beautiful flying there. Another few feet and it would all have been fine

  • wow

    hope he's/she's alright

ppl that call out 911 should learn to call themselves

  • Did he fall asleep at the wheel?

  • did the driver eject?

  • You could hear people yelling at the end "911 911 911!"

  • Comment removed due to lack of altitude

  • "mom look no hands"

  • from 2:09 - crash = roller coaster

  • call 911

  • he was tryin to be like the A-Team :D

  • @skateTUBEboarding The A-Team chopper pilots rocked

  • @Sodiumreactor

    yea :D

  • Pretty hard hit!

  • for Christ sakes, if you do a loop in a bell, at least begin at 100 feet. R.i.P.

  • @joanllabres1234567 actually he lived

  • @bkboy747 I´m happy to hear that. Regards.

  • This is SPARTAAAAA!

  • "Y'all watch this... I'll only do it once"

  • Well... He's dead

  • OMG! this is horrific!

  • @stellarblue51 was that 911?

  • It's a shame this happens so often with these small craft and inexperienced pilots.

  • See kids, this is why you never attempt to do a backflip in a helicopter.

  • helicopters are fucking scary!

  • haahahh ang driver ana buang

  • LOL did the pilot make himself dizzy?

  • nine something?

  • 911?

  • Is that radio controlled? Ha Ha

  • that sucks!

  • what's the emergency services number again?

  • @mark19holmes

    Dial nine-eleven... but I can't find the 11 button!

  • Looks like this accident was bound to happen.

  • Comment removed

  • not for one moment while watching this did i get the feeling he was in control.

  • @mvandeven because he wasnt, he was trying to gain control but failed in the end

  • i do this way too often in GTA4

  • 911 911 911 911 911 911 911 911

  • did he die????

  • @amielcool no

  • 911 911 911 911 911 911 911

  • i think i can i think i can oops i cant

  • jesus, denis is my neighbour and he told me to watch this vid, for those who r wondering, he says he misjudged the exit and the amount of forward monentum he had retained from the loop, he was in the raf and is a trained stunt pilot

  • Woo... that was scary - so glad if Dennis was OK.

@hainwheels - think you are right about VRS, there does seem to be enough forward motion to disrupt it, imho.

  • not sure, 911?

  • I think he had too much forward motion to be in VRS. I think the pilot knows exactly what happened and thank goodness he's alive to learn from it.

  • I never cringed so much throughout an entire video.

  • The way he was flying, what do you think was going to happen????

  • whats the point of flying like that? Unless you are a getaway driver in a bank robbery lol

Number one rule in aviation don't be a hero!

  • wasnt his helicopter ,,was a rental

  • THAT!? A HELICOPTER! PFFFT IVE SENE COMPUTERS BIGGER THEN THAT/

  • 911 911 911 call 911

    911?

    yer 911

  • It was probably vortex ring state and he did not have space to recover. He was probably pulling collective which only worsens the condition. At that altitude there are only fractions of a second to react properly once the rotor system develops a windmill break state. He may have just under estimated the density altitude and gotten himself into mushing. Either way, more altitude would have given him reaction time.

  • @Autorotated. Not VRS or WBS or DA. Nice try tho.

  • DAAAAAAM Is the Pilot alright Thats the craziest thing I've seen

  • I think it was gods way of telling us that maybe we shouldn't be flying around in these air machines.

  • 911! 911! 911! 911!

  • As a student helicopter pilot I still find stuff like this incredible - he performs some very tricky manoeuvres very well and then, well, basics: too low when starting a loop!

  • @LueVandacar coulda pulled it off if he was higher

  • I think it's more likely he just started too low. He could have incorrectly set his altimeter or just made a mistake in his math. Although he could have gone into VRS but I doubt it because he had his nose low. You get out of VRS by dropping collective and putting the nose down and it happens pretty fast. I'd say it's pilot error setting the altimeter which isn't that rare.

  • 911. 911? 911! 911

  • if you want to do a loop in a helicopter, at least attain first 1000 feet or so....

  • I bet TC could have pulled that off...

  • no reason to do a loop in a helicopter...my father was my instructor and you start to get cocky...and ....well you see.....

  • he did the roll too low

  • il est fou!

  • It isn't hard to develop VRS all it takes is too fast of a decent rate at low speeds in most cases.

  • @Wendigo127 not being argumentative, rather trying to learn.. Is this a case of VRS? or an un commanded loss of main rotor rpm as a result of the second last manoeuvre?

  • Yeah, gotta be careful when attempting a loop in a helicopter. Glad he was unharmed.

  • wow

  • @LAWSONINGOLDRACING Are you mental? Have you heard of Kenyon? Go look him up before posting that he's an amateur and/or a disgrace to other pilots. This display is a routine he knows well, he has performed it hundreds of times, it has nothing to do with showing off - it's his job as a display pilot - and in the instance above, he may have fallen into vortex ring either through pilot error or because somethimes.. it just happens. Get a clue.

  • @colin5577 I love it how people blame a huge sink rate after an abnormal maneuver and the resulting crash on VRS instead of lack of thrust to arrest the sink rate.

  • @stetson6 Perhaps. In this case, I'd be more inclined to cut Kenyon some slack because he has a lot of experience with this specific routine, he's not careless, and created this display gradually and after a LOT of testing and practice. What I would say, though, is that the man himself isn't shy to admit that it may have been his mistake. He's not entirely sure what happened and merely says that coming into the pull-out, he just lost lift. Did he mist-time it or have genuine VRS? Dunno.

  • @colin5577 im more inclined to believe that he failed to start his well practiced maneuver at the proper height. He didn't even get leveled out before he touched the ground, so if he had had another 50" maybe he would have pulled out? He is in mountains, high DA, summer, it's easy to miscalculate how much altitude it takes to get the aircraft to complete a manuever. I can all but guarantee you it wasn't vrs. It is hard to get an a/c in vrs, now to put A/C into a dive, mistime the pullout?

  • @stetson6 You may well be right. As I said in my first post, he was pretty candid about the crash and didn't rule out an error on his own part. In any event, we can all agree that it was nice that he walked away from the incident, and that he's not exactly a cowboy new to rotary wing aerobatics.

  • I flew with Dennis last year during a pre-display warm up. I wish I'd had a video camera with me, because if you think it looks good from the outside, the view from inside is pretty indescribable. Dennis is incredibly smooth and relaxed and the machine never feels overly taxed, yet at the same time it is at these seemingly impossible attitudes and you're doing things you know shouldn't be possible. He was pretty candid about his crash. All in all, an absolutely inspirational and amazing guy.

  • @colin5577 Look at all the helicopter crashes....On and ON...every were all the time..It looks to me he was trying to do 360 . How many Over confident Pilots have tryed to do that in aircraft not capable of performing such stunts?.He clearly didnt have enough altitude..Amazing i think not.

  • @spacecop67 He wasn't trying to do a 360 (vertical loop, I think you mean), as a 269/Schweizer300 won't manage it. Kenyon has performed this routine hundreds of times. You're confusing a professional, multi award-winning display pilot with someone merely 'showing off'.

  • @colin5577 Another Helo crashed in Texas.. I knew aviator in NAM he was shot down three times..Silver Star...Another Major , was shot down in little bird..Helo's take your chances...Like getting in Truck you might not make it..Down Hill....Ive been , Hueys , Black hawks..C130, Starlifter,,Airborne.. Maybe get Cobra gunship out there i might want to fly...

  • SOMEBODY CALL 911 DENNIS KENYAONS HELI BURNIN ON THE GROUND oo oo oo

  • @KuurizmA fail spelling :D
