We only"think' we know Shannen Doherty by the presss we read about her .I am sure she is a strong willed, intelligent, hard working woman & more than likely a perfectionist at heart. Prue was my favorite among the charmed ones. she was the strongest. The most successful. She gave up her old job to be a freelance photographer and still became successfull. Next would be Piper, Paige and the least is Phoebe...

Why does everyone always go "Rose/Paige is a crappy replacement for Shannen/Prue"? Maybe because she isn't there to be a replacement. They brought a new sister in, not someone to fill Prue's place. Or Shannen's for that matter. miss16love wrote that Shannen played her part well. Yeah, and Rose played her OWN part well. Gosh Rose/Paige is her own person, stop comparing her to Prue, she's not a replacement, she's a new character and her own person.

How does anyone know if Shannen isnt a nice person? The media especially the studiosP.R. people leaking stories to get people talking and making a mountain out of a mole hill. To me if I was lucky enough to get a great job on a TV show that became a hit then I would make sure I stuck with the project and act. These women are supposed to be actors and be other people but yet they cannot just go into work do the job get great money for it and forget about the DIVA crap..

Poor Connie. I will never forgive Brad Kern for ruining her masterpiece or for going behind her back to do so. And ironically the show became more about witches who happened to be sisters after Shannen and Constance were gone.

and you're wrong about the ratings. the first 3 seasons had higher ratings than the last 5. it also tied for 1st/2nd most watched show on the network with Shannen. when she left, it never got that high again.

Its "apparently" (Key word being apparently) because she would only let them use it if they paid her loads and loads, she had the right to not let someone use her picture or a scene of her. A tv company cant put someones face on tv without having that persons permisson, im sure its a law.

and, yes, she did own the rights to her character and had every right to keep them from using HER image. though i doubt it was because she was jealous as there are plenty of interviews where she and Rose McGowan stated that she thought she was doing a great job.

however, i think you should look up "using someone's image" as it's not always against the law.

The only "law" involved is in regards to her contract. I'm not aware of that having been made public- usually there is a stipulation that specifics are confidential, and penalties imposed to any named parties who break that confidentiality.

I liked Shannen on the show, but my point is, despite what Shannen fans like to claim, the show did perfectly well after she left. The network wouldn't have kept it for another five years if the ratings crumbled weren't there. In TV what's most important is the demographic and the show did just as well after Shannen left in the network's key demos.

@miss16love that is where you are wrong, Shannon announced she was leaving the show during a shooting of an episode in Season 3, as also 4:th season already was in development the writers had too change alot. Wich made Season 4 beeing a bit (not very) late. She said the words: I cant work with someone immature who does not take their job serious. There is too much drama going on, I am 30 years old soon. Ive had enough drama in my life, I want to be serious about my work.
