I am fortunate enough to have an Andrew Guyton built Green Special to use on a current recording project...the most fantastic guitar I have ever had the good fortune to play.
0:38-0:44. It's weird they should slip in that bit about Brian continuing to work despite Freddie's death, because Brian has said that working on Back to the Light was therapy for him and it helped him calm down after Fred's death.
@AlbieStarr yes! It's Brian's version of " Too Much Love Will Kill You" which was written by him and included on his first solo album " Back to the Light"
It never ceases to amaze me how The Universe downloads this genius stuff to us when we're open to it. Next Eddie Van Halen's FrankenStrat Brian May's Ol' Girl is probably the most unique guitar ever. The really amazing thing is that it's not really even a guitar. It's a fireplace, a motor bike, and a knitting needle. Too cool.
What a lovely story, piss poor and his clever dad built everything, including the TV !!
What a lovely dad and what life lessons he gave his son, who in turn is giving us great lessons (ingenuity and patience to spend 2 years building his own guitar).
for all of us that think building a custom guitar is expensive....well....think again...it's the exact opposite if you are creative and of course have some knowledge..great life lesson here :-)
@outtacastatv Yes, we will. I mean, if we do love guitar, we surely will. If we don't we won't, but is like asking a rapper if he likes Hendrix. Try to listen to these 4 artists better, and tell me if you find something like them in some other guitarist, or if you heard their licks and sound before...!
Are you kidding me?? he made that guitar??? I thought it was a reglular guitar

(If you know the nursery rhyme Aiken Drum you'll know what I mean with this:)
And he played upon a table, a bike and a fireplace
He played upon a fireplace
And his name was Brian May
His plectrum was a sixpence, a sixpence, a sixpence
His plectrum was a sixpence
And his name was Brian May

@outtacastatv I don't understand why Hendrix should be more genial than May, Lukather, Vai or Van Halen. They are all undispudet geniuses.
