God the Japanese approach to what it means to be a CEO is sure to cause inefficiencies but it is very inspiring that a business leader would think like that.
whoever the heck disliked this video can go freaking kick themselves in the ass. How on earth could you dislike this amazing, touching and sad documentary?
well i cant fully understand the situation since the host is someting close and not exactly the same as a gigolo but thanks for sharing this. gigolos are rear thing to where i live anyway so cant even understand their position..
It must be hard to work in a job where you have to imbibe so much alcohol nightly and are constantly thrown to the streets to hustle, wondering where your next income is going to come from. Until this year I never felt sorry for them and actually held a bit of hatred towards them; playing women as a source of income... But after the big quake I began to see more of them in the streets of Kabuki-cho. More scouts=fewer customers... I started to see where they came from. A bit.
please up load all the videos please i love this doc drama sooo much nothing like it in the world i love it please load it all up in eng subbiing thx u
let's just call it like it is "PROSTITUTION". you can candy code it and beat around the bush calling it "hosting", "gigolos", etc. Male or female - it falls under the same umbrella no matter their reason. if they think they have to, want to, or are forced to. anyone that sells sex for money (or who is promiscuous) will not be happy inside...look at pamela anderson face now! look at any prostitute on the street - high or low class!
No need to be so negative. If you actually watched the video you would understand that some times there are more important things then being happy. Some times you have to suck it up and do things that will destroy you to support some thing more important then your self.
You know I was preety ignorant before to think that people who joined this kind of industry were just disgusting but after watching this and some other things I realise now that everyone has a reasonfor why the do certain things. Despite my past opinion what these guys are doing is not for selfish gain and i have to say im proud that they can put others before themselves because they sacrifice alot.
i am disturbed by the usage 'gigolo' in the title. i do not think it is the right term to use. why cant you just call it 'host club'? sexual favours are not promoted in these types of establishments, so it is wrong to call these people gigolos.
male hosts are no different then females..we feel bad when we see a female and feel sorry for her but when we see a male our reactions are toaly different...i dont think anyone WANTS to sell there bodies they HAVE too...we shouldnt just judge people for what they do
touched me so much, i think the owner is pretty cool for thinking that looks are not everything and it's more about the heart. Such a clever person, host clubs don't seem so bad after all

It's a whole other world. I live in Osaka and have been to Minami a few times but never knew the sort of stuff going on behind the scenes.

y do u guys have such negative views on host clubs? just a place to have some drinks and talk. jeez.

I hate the word gigolo. Why can't they just use the Japanese word? For example, there is no English equivalent for "geisha" either.
