yeah i understand that but have you ever heard of the rossetta stone?? that shit works. and you think that the military would get it for free and personnel would use it because frankly if your not there for the people what are you there for? terrorists?? are there really terrorist or did we show them what real terror was?
Just a little info for you, the military does offer the Roswtta Stone Language packs to all it members for free via the net, in addition its REQUIRED to take some language classes before going overseas. Thought you might like to know that.
@3rdID8487 By definition they are terrorists, but what would you do if another country invaded the US and decided they were going to steal your major resource? What if they tortured your people when they did nothing wrong? I'm sue you would raise up and kill the son of a bitch that thinks they can take your resources and torture your people. We'll never leave the middle east until we get a president that cares more about his/her people than oil and Israel.
What was futile about it? Yes, ALOT of people died. Was it futile? Nope. Futile is when something isn't worth it and the outcome of WWII was definitely worth it. Ah but then thats a subjective arguement I guess. Some people would prefer to roll over for anything rather than someone get hurt.
To each their own. I see you have finally made the transition of referring to all soldiers sheep and "un-enlightened". And yet many educated above and beyond the norm.
If people are so "educated", what that actually means is that they are "in-doctrinated" through pavlovian conditioning. They should investigate the wholes in history deeper, and the background on how wars are started. Not to meantion, the Big Lie, that works time and time again, I don't blame the soldiers for acting on their conditioning, but it's everyones responsibility to gain wisdom and knowledge, you simply can't say I didn't know with all the information available today.
how come none of our forces speak their language.. you would think with all that training language would be close to the top.. im not putting down our forces im just saying..
Because becoming fluent in a whole different language takes a lot of time. Especially a language that uses completely differnt characters and is structured differently. I doubt the military has the time, or money, to train every serviceman how to speak a different language.
back in world war 2 when a block of people was 90% percent knottsis and 10 civilian we would just bomb the shit out of it and that would be it know our goverment is a bunch of pansises. civilan casualties will happen. they have to happeb to acheive are goal
So can you explain to me what Kuwait was supposed to do when SH invaded their country? Sit back and say, well we don't believe in violence, so you can stay? Who would be left on earth to stop the army of a country that tries to take over its nieghbor if we all lay down our arms and sing campfire songs?
wait. this isnt a war about religeon, is it? its people who dont like the states vrs. the states. not Muslems vrs. Christians. there is nothing in either of these religeons books saying anything about killing others. and besides..... what percentage of the states is truley Christian anyways? tell me if im inaccurate
You are a little off about the books not talking about killing others. Most people have heard the story of David and Goliath? God guided Davids stone to kill Goliath. God helped many times, one army or another destroy its enemy. So the Bible does talk a lot about killing, it even talks about all the times a person should be put to death for different things. SO you need to check a little more. The Koran is the same.
i didn't say spread Christianity throughout the world... all I said was that Christianity is capitalized because it is a proper noun like any proper noun.
Now, Muslim fanatics like Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, Hamas, and several others have said they want to spread Islam throughout the world until all have converted and the message is "Convert or Die!" that is true fanaticism.
This war is not about religion it is about security.
The whole reason we need security is because of religion. Sunnis, Shities (Spelling?), kurds, radical islamics, Isreal, it is about religion. The whole civil war in Iraq is about ethnic background and religious beliefs.
nope, its power-struggle...look at Hitler, Stalin, Mao, the chinese Gulags, Persian gulf, Korean War, and WW1, none of them related to religion; purely economic/military/political power, and combined, responsible for over 90% of the deaths in the 20th century.
The men and women of the armed forces signed up freely to carry a gun and point it at whom ever they are told to with out questioning. They get paid to do this. I wish people would stop using the word serve when talking about the military. The only thing they are serving is their corrupt govts. continuing effort to push right wing christian values on the rest of the world. Just to emphasize my point further the spell checker in my browser says christian is spelled wrong unless the c is capital.
You know, people who get killed by a nuke due to lack of military sure can't type as freely. If you were to try there life for a day, you would be complaining too much to last the first hour.
I am an American Soldier. What you typed was very disrespectful but you have every right to say it. Please understand also that no Soldier has to obey orders they find unethical.
Please also note that in our current war, we do more than kill the bad guys. We have built the majority of schools, hospitals, and security centers for the native Iraqis. The majority of Iraqis support the US.
One more note: No matter who the President is, we follow their direction on Nat. Security.
excuse me? I walked away from this. I stopped arguing with you. forget it. don't you dare tell me I'm lying to get attention. I nearly lost my father in Desert Storm
you can hate the war, but don't hate the soldiers who have no choice but to do what they're told. Enough with the religious garbage to, i have nothing against religion but it shouldn't be forced on people via a youtube comment.
Hey tough idiots, typing from behind their keyboards. You think you talk less shit? You can oppose the war, but you dare to despise those men who have more right to what you have than you do.
exactly, they are out there doing crap that none of us can even imagine. I'd like to see someone on here deal with the fear that you could die every time they go out to drive their car. You can hate the war, but don't ever talk shit about the soldiers
Remember 9/11, it will happen again. if we don't take an aggressive act to stall them. This is war and nothing less. You may choose to not recognize it but it is.
Watch yourself pal. I'm an Army brat myself and I oppose the war, but I'll be damned if some moron is going to talk smack about them when they've probably never had to make a sacrifice in their life
Hey, idiot. Do you even know what an Army brat is? My father, my grandfathers, my greatgrandfather, they were all in the service. It doesn't mean I was in the Army. Dumbass.
i don't trust that whole situation around the IPs and the army/marine trainers. It just looks a bit sketchy. That sargent guy that walks in and out of the building looks a bit sketchy too. It is just the way he handles himself around the IPs and with "hiding something" sort of gestures and dismisal verbal tones.... Weird, glad I'm not in the army and anywhere near those things.
Personally from what i see in CPL Robert Amos, can tell the war has affected him a bit just like every other solider out there, but they never show this type of footage in the news.
you just did shown them what really terror was

Since 1775 when the US Army was founded, we have SERVED the American people and keep that interests at heart no matter what.
We will follow the orders of any president including any New President whether that be McCain or Obama.
There has always been an Army even under democrats or "Liberals" aka Clinton, JFK to name a few.
Also, Christian is capitalized because it is a proper noun therefore must be capitalized.

They wrote in the old days that it is sweet and fitting
to die for one's country.
But in modern war, there is nothing sweet nor fitting in your dying.
You will die like a dog for no good reason.
