yea.. he is not playing that hard of a beat. any instrument is hard to sing and play right away, its a matter of making the song you play second nature, so you end up focusing more on singing. no detracting from the band's talent or anything.

@primarkopolop Pyramid Song is actually 4/4 as far as I can appreciate. But you have Nice Dream which is in 6/8 or Paranoid Android which is most of the time 4/4, but switches to 6/8 in some riffs

wow man, you are retarded. listen, from a musician's standpoint, i don't see the big deal with this. I started off playing drums as my first instrument, and later on I learned guitar. There are tons of musicians who first learned drums since its one of the easiest instruments out there. I'm pretty sure this isn't Thom's first time playing drums... when you're in a rockband, most of them can at least hold a beat, as he is doing a simple beat anyways. props for the talent tho

drums is one of the easiest instruments out there? maybe if you were playing a simple rock beat over and over it was easy. i can play 3 simple chords on a guitar and be like "wow, this is so easy...". doesn't mean the instrument is easy. try picking up a rush song and playing that note for note on click. not so easy anymore huh?

While I agree it's not THAT impressive to play multiple instruments, the drums are definitely not one of the "easiest" instruments out there. I think (in a rock band setting) drums, guitar, bass, and piano are all fairly equally hard. Just depends on what you're going for and what your natural abilities are.
