I can't understand all the contentiousness of S&T detractors. Oh wait...yes I can; people who make their living at expensive lessons benefit more when beginners to intermediates don't really get better. Can't speak for anyone else. All I know is that I can hit my driver straight finally and actually draw it. Everything I tried before resulted in a slice. 8 times out of 10, I'll hit my irons well now too. Playing a golf course is fun now.
@sonicdeviant reading comments like this is encouraging. im pretty excited about learning stack and tilt but am nervous to swith over. how far do you hit your driver? and if i could hit my 8 out of 10 times id take that in a heartbeat.my swing now which is conventional lets me hit it fat 8 out of ten times. lol. i might just have to pick up the s and t system.
isn't this concept the same as the one leg drill? Many golf pros suggest swinging on one leg to solidify the rotation. They typically say you will get 85% of your full swing using the one leg drill.
i hadn't really thought about it, but the local pro i've been taking lessons from is actually using stack and tilt type theory to improve my swing...apparently i'm a stack and tilter. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for this video. I really makes sense. I cut 10 strokes using the stack and tilt. I really works for me. It is also easier on my old body. No more lower back pain.
Used the same swing myself from 1974 until now why no one used it years ago i do not know . I for one never told anyone to swing this way but have no idea why before the last two years. PGA pro
I'm a six handicap and was initially skeptical of this swing as promoting a "reverse C." After trying it a few times I was amazed how effective it was. The simple fact is, I began to hit the ball with the divots predictably in front of it and with more compression than I've ever had. The flight was clearly lower, but more piercing.
I'm still learning the nuances of the swing, but intend to stay with it. The results speak for themselves, at least where I am concerned.
As a PGA Member of the Carolinas Section, there is certainly alot of merit to what your talking about in the golf swing. Whether you are talking about stack and tilt on any move of the golf swing, what people tend to do is OVER DO. I think this golf swing has alot of good points.
I just tried this swing out after reading about it in Golf Digest. After a little bit of 'shankalitis,' I started to get into a groove. Sure enough, my 7 iron went straight, high, and farther than I ever hit it normally. The reason I tried it is because something had gone horribly awry with my previous swing. Figured out that it was because my pro had been teaching me a Stack and Tilt-esque swing, and I deviated from it, because I watch too much golf on TV. Will certaingly work with it more!
The best simplified explanation of S&T iv seen. The guys deserve much much more credit than they are currently getting, the S&T is still looked upon over here in the uk as a bit strange almost wrong, but people are always asking me how i make such great contact with the ball? Simply answer S&T and mike and andy DVD's.
I totally agree! I am a Canadian PGA Life Member and not only am I using S&T in my swing (which has resulted in better shotmaking than I have ever had) I am using it in my teaching
looks like nearly all instruction is based somewhat on the same principals of stack and tilt - a lot of crossover from what i can see!!

There are already numerous PGA Tour Players incorporating S&T concepts in their own pattern.
