@golaudydd I here ya!!! The music sucks here and I'm so glad Canada has remained true to good old rock music. I really like Danko Jones now too. Artists like Serena Ryder just get it. Sure you can here some Neil Young in her music (bit of Johnny Cash too in "Dark As The Black" imo) but she adds her own prodigous talents to her influences. In the US, on person writes a hit and people copy the formula verbatim. US pop music makes me sick.

Bravo to CBC. I first heard Serena about 10 yrs ago on a CBC program that I cant remember right now,but she was proforming live at ..I think ..the Black ...something inn in the Ottawa valley.Serena did a version of Janice Joplin that made the hair stand up on my body(a good thing), Praise to Janice...BUT move over for Serena !
